After High School I went into the US Navy with two friends (Rusty Bayles and Earl
Kisler) in August 1964 after HS graduation. I attended many Navy schools as a Gun Fire Control Technician. Played
in a couple of bands in the Navy, a Bluegrass Band on the U.S.S. William C. Lawe and a Rock and Roll band on the U.S.S.
Holder. Married my wife Linda just before getting out of the Navy . Went to work for IBM in 1968.
Serviced mainframe computers for 17 years. I transferred to St. Petersburg, Florida in 1985. Assisted IBM
customers with computer room planning and environmentals for the remainder of my 33 1/2 years with IBM. Retired in April
of 2002. Left-handed (You don't find many banjo's to take a test drive on when your left-handed) Also sing tenor
and some lead. Mostly traditional bluegrass. Love the music!
I have a daughter, Natalie, who is 32.
