Wizkids makes "Hero Clix", plastic miniatures of known superheroes. These are characters either of mine or, as
where noted, created to mimic characters belonging to Hero Games. Typically this involves cutting, glueing, sanding
and painting.
PLEASE keep in mind I'm new at this. All said, I think these aren't too bad for a beginner.

Anthem (My Champions Player Character)

A drawing of the "City of Heroes" version of my character, Anthem. (Named Teen Anthem in game because 'Anthem'
was taken.)
ANTHEM
Clipped the chest emblem off. Tried to create the striations in the gloves (to simulate the "quilted" look of the
uniform by scoring the gloves with a pair of snips, but when I painted it wasn't visible, so the glove and boot designs as
well as the seam up the side of the uniform, are simply painted on.
No real glue work and not much cutting work, just lots of painting and a little sanding/filing.

Drawing of G-Force, before I even had a name for her.
G-FORCE
Filed down some of the raised pattern (the green area on the original figure), with limited success. The clear
portion of the stand was cut away from a spiderman figure (from the Mutan Mayhem set). The board is actually the plastic
base from a Clix that has been clipped into a simple board shape with a rounded front end. The skirt was added with
dabs of Greenstuff (Kneadtite) and sculpted into the general shape.

Bridge (Team Teleporter)

Final costume (of about 5).
BRIDGE
I'm only half satisifed with the results (Bridge is thinner and less chesty). Had to trim off the hair, file down
the knee pads and other raised details, filled the cracks in with "green putty" plastic model filler and used the end of a
small file to create indents for the wrinkles in the clothing, cut away the weapon, and then I used "green stuff" (kneadtite)
to sufficiently fill in the rest of the top.

Perdition Cauldwell, Dark Champion

Drawing of Perdition which inspired the figure.
PERDITION CAULDWELL
FIGURE Basis: Ordic Pistoleer (Iron Kingdoms); SWORDS: Reaper Equipment Pack.
Couldn't find any katanas, so I had to take two conventional swords from one of the Reaper Miniatures "Equipment Packs"
and trim off some length, straighten them a little, and superglue them onto the mini.

Uncle Slam
UNCLE SLAM
Hair was made with Greenstuff (kneadtite), etched with a needle to give it a "combed" effect. The beard is simply
the product of painting (nothing was added to the face it was simpy painted on). The hat was snipped from another miniature.

Fatherland, Uncle Slam's WWII era clone/enemy.

Original concept art (Based on the drawing of Uncle Slam).
FATHERLAND
When I saw the coat on Maj. Maxim I knew I had to use it for him. Harpoon's head was the perfect size. The
beard and monocle are made of green putty filler, spread on and sculpted with a needle while still slightly wet. The
spikes on the shoulders are cemented in two blobs of greenstuff (kneadtite) and then touched up with a little superglue after
it dried. (I got 3 logan miniatures in 3 booster boxes of clix; Terrible figure with those sideburns so I had to do something
with it).

Powerbroker, maker of metahumans
Based on a character I made for City of Heroes.
POWERBROKER
Mullet filed down in back, sideburns trimmed away. Greenstuff applied to cover face and then trimmed away in a
chevron shape using a needle. Surface smoothed with fingers, then eventually spackled with green modeling putty.

CHAMPIONS CLIX

The Crimson Claw (Villain of the "Great Supervillain Contest", 4th Edition)
Snipped off the head with clippers, filed off his "side kick" dragon. The head area is a lump of "greenstuff" that
has been sculpted with a needle. The flask was cut out of his right hand and a ball of greenstuff to simulate the "Emerald
Eye of Azog" was added to his left hand.

Brother Basilisk (4th Edition, The Great Supervillain Contest)
Cut down some of the dreadlock-like hair, hollowed out the eye sockets with a sharp file, cleaned the old paint off with
acetone, transplanted to a new hexagonal base, primered and repainted.

Thunderbolt II (Shouldn't they know by now that Red & Blue is for good guys? ;-)
BODY: Havoc (Mutant Massacre)
Trimmed away the energy trails, put tiny rolls of greenstuff into the gaps in the ridges on his head to make it look
like the padded helmet. Trimmed portions of the shoulder pads away to shorten them. The rest is the paint job
(since the flair on the tops of the boots and gloves looked awful when I added it so I pealed it back off and repaited).

Ogre (My first ever Attempt)
BODY: Collosus, HEAD: Uh... I dunno (It was off of a ghoul from a zombie boardgame I owned; Didn't look much like a ghoul
though)
Head attached with superglue and "greenstuff" (to make the kneck thicker and more cromagnon). Tried to fill the
cracks in the armor with greenstuff but it's too thick for that so Collosus' banding is visible, especially on the limbs.
I tried to mask flaws with paint to some minor success.

Vibron (from Conquerors Killers and Crooks, Copyright Hero Games)
FIGURE: Annihilus
Basically I used a pair of clippers (such as those sold by Games Workshop for trimming away flashing and making such
edits) to trim away the wings and the exaggerated shoulderpads with spikes. It leaves him stoop-shouldered, but the
head was the perfect shape for Vibron, so I went for it.
Again I tried to makes some flaws with a paint job.

Dark Seraph (from Conquerors Killers and Crooks, Copyright of Hero Games)
BODY: Mageknight "WereRaven", HEAD: Collosus
The crown is made of Greenstuff. If you compare the expression on the face of collosus before my paintjob to the
one in the book of Dark Seraph, they look very similar.
The unfortunate part here is that the head is WAY too big for the body. I didn't realize this until I was happy
with both head and body seperately and went to match them up.
The body is actually more of a gray; It just seemed to photograph blueish here.

Holocaust (From Conquerors Killers and Crooks, Copyright of Hero Games)
FIGURE: Cyclops.
The most work and least success so far. I used a ball of greenstuff to round out the head into a helm then filed
down details of the belt and used clippers to try and remove the bands around the legs. The cape is greenstuff also.
The color scheme is per the description in the book. (Blech!) Boy needs an eye-checkup.

Gigaton (From Conqueror's Killers and Crooks, Copyright of Hero Games)
BODY: Dr. Fate, HEAD: Daredevil.
After screwing up an attempt at making Dr. Destroyer out of Dr. Fate, I wound up snipping away the messed up head and
putting DD's there, minus the horns. I'm pretty happy with this one. Looks pretty much like the character should.
If only I could get that chest detail right (It's supposed to be an atom, but looks more like a flower here). If yer
gonna face a villain, pick the one with the flower on his chest!
