Website Awards Earned Page
WOW, I guess a second awards page is necessary!

Many, perhaps most, think of the desert as trackless wastes of hot sand and barren rock. In reality, there's an almost infinite variety of both flora and fauna native to our area. On this page, and the next two pages, are pictures showing animals and vegetation here in Blythe, The Palo Verde Valley, and surrounding Mojave and Sonoran Deserts. Some, such as amphibians and water fowl, may surprise you. If a species is poisonous I've framed its picture in black. A click on any image will display more information about the subject.

These are also pages of links. Included are websites relating to attractions, cultures, desert survival, ghost towns, history, and much more. In fact, if you are curious about almost any subject relating to our desert, the information could well be found in the links on this page and the next two. It's my hope you'll explore all three pages. There should be something here for just about anybody with an interest, of any kind, in our desert. This page, and the next two, are very graphic intensive, so thanks for your patience while they load. Please look, examine, and most of all enjoy.
