A list has been formed to help facilitate the exchange of information between people within the academic community and other interested persons, and people on the Face Blind Folks list. In order for you to join this list, you must submit a personal request to the list maintainers and ask them to add you to the list. Your personal request must contain, at the very minimum, the following information:
The answers you provide to this list will not be used to confirm or deny your request to join the list except in some extreme cases. Most likely, you will be promptly added to the list, after a brief e-mail exchange with the list-owner personally to sort a few other minor things out. Once you are added to the list, your personal request will be forwarded to the list verbatim as it was received by the list-owner. In this way, all persons on the list will know of your presence and purpose for being on the list. This process is done largely as an exercise to make certain that the people on the list are all familiar with each other. The nature of living with face blindness is such that it can be largely intimidating for a face blind individual to interact with a group of people whom he or she does not know. This introduction you are providing to the list-owner will serve to alleviate the concerns of the face blind individuals on the list.
If you have any questions or concerns about any of this, please do not hesitate to ask the list maintainers for details. Within a short period of time of sending your e-mail, one of the people assisting in the maintanance of this list will get back to you with all of the neccessary details to get you started.
This list has, for all intents and purposes, been depricated by the public Face Blind Forum.
