This page was created to help people get started in radio control cars.
#1) First thing you need to do is decide what type of car you want. There are several different forms. There is Off-Road cars and trucks,On-Road cars and trucks, and the fairly new Sedan class. The best way to figure out what you want, is to browse though some magazines and vist your local hobby shop.
#2)Once you have decided what you want, you will need a few items allong with your car or truck kit.
---#1) You will need a Radio to control the car or truck.
---#2) You will need a battery to power your vehicle.
---#3) You will need some basic tools to assemble your kit. The kit instuctions should tell what you will need.
---#4) Some kits will require you to paint the body for the car or truck. For the first timer, it may seem odd, but you paint the inside of the body. This is to protect the paint from damage and scratches. It also requires special paint, which you should be able to get from your hobby shop.
---#5) If you feel you can not assemble the kit yourself, most hobby shops will build it for a small fee. And they will show you everything you will need to get it running.
---#6) Last thing you will need, is a place to run your new car or truck. Check with your hobby shop first. They may know of some tracks in your area. They might even have there own. If there are no local tracks, check local parks for large parking lots and no traffic.
