I would outright like to express my support for this cause and my true hope that this will spread throughout the country and the world. Inauguration Day will certainly be a day of mourning, a day in which I will mourn the very future that I was praying I could have. Here are the things for which I mourn:
1) A safer world. George W. Bush's reckless foreign policies have created increasing hostility towards the United States throughout the world. Al Qaeda is still at large, and the mastermind behind it all (Osama bin Laden, not Saddam Hussein) is still alive. Pakistani officials have outright said that the trail is cold. They know he's alive, but they have no idea where to find him. They also blame the American troops in large part for not assisting in his capture. We are loosing men every day, and spending billions of dollars fighting a war in a third-world country that had no threat to our national security. If this is a war on terrorism, we should be fighting terrorism, not supporting its spread.
b) Fiscal responsibility. George W. Bush took record surpluses left over from the Clinton administration and drove us into the largest deficit in our nation's history. While he and his colleagues keep claiming that we are on track to cut our deficit in half within the next ten years, we have to remember that: (1) the deficit has continued to rise despite these claims, and (2) he squandered a surplus! Even half of our deficit doesn't fix the fact that we had a surplus and now it's lost. Remember, Osama bin Laden has outright claimed that the goal of Al Qaeda is to bankrupt the U.S. Congratulations Mr. Bush for increasing our deficits, bankrupting the U.S., and allowing the terrorists to succeed.
c) Social security. Aren't the Republicans proud of their so-called "Ownership Society"? Yes, it's good that more people are owning their houses than every before. But an ownership society, as the Republicans propose, also means privatizing social security and making people pay for their OWN health care (cutting federal subsidies on health plans). They want you to own everything, right? That will come in the future. As for social security, privatization may sound good the way Bush puts it, but let's look at it without all the stupid Republican spin: (a) Create a "nest egg" that you can invest? Anybody with an invested social security fund would have watched their entire savings PLUMMIT under the recession we've experienced under George W. Bush. Thousands of people have lost their retirement accounts, what would they do if they had lost all their social security too? (b) By letting people retain some money, there's less money for social security, and therefore less guaranteed payout by the government. Watch the checks grow smaller.
d) My ability to marry. As a gay American, I cannot marry except in the state of Massachusetts. I firmly believe this is fundamentally against everything America stands for: equality, freedom, and a commitment to civil rights. For Bush, America is a theocracy in which we should all adhere to HIS interpretation of the Bible. Mr. Bush, I don't think the Bible tells me I can't marry, so please let me have my rights.
e) My education. Why? Because I am almost positive that within the next three years that I am in college (and possibly the following years that I am in graduate school), I am going to be drafted. Bush now claims that the all-volunteer army works. But if we've invaded Afghanistan and Iraq (the second of which had no valid reasons for our entrance), what's to stop him from entering Iran? Or North Korea? I don't want to serve in the military, and I'm going to be stuck doing it because this man has a war streak. Does anybody else see a problem with us FORCING DEMOCRACY AND FREEDOM on people? Shooting people so they can be free? If they don't want us there, that's there choice. Put it on a referendum, let them choose, and let's get the hell out.
f) And more: Education for my children (as we increasingly cut funds from schools), renewable energy (projects to research alternative fuel other than Mideast Oil, for which Bush has significant ties, are receiving 1/13th of their promised funding; see a problem?), my job (Bush is continuing to allow jobs to be exported overseas; his stupid claim in the debates that by sending me back to school will solve the problem doesn't help: fewer jobs and an increasing population is a problem, whether or not people are smarter), and the list goes on and on.
We tried. 49% of the population tried. That's no mandate, but Bush thinks it is. Within the next four years, we will watch our civil liberties be stolen from us, our futures torn from our hands, all because of one man's neo-conservative beliefs.
For all this, I will be mourning for the next four years...
WOW! Couldn't have said it better myself! 'Nuff said that I have been depressed since the 'so-called' Election Day... I'm embarrassed to be a Texan! Bush surely DOES NOT represent ME... an intelligent, extremely liberal Democratic female who identifies as Omnisexual! I've been wearing black since November... "There is no joy in Mudville; Mighty Casey has struck out!"

I usually wear black. On black Thursday I will .. make up my face with white powder and paste a biohazard sticker to my chest. I do this for me and the world. I, am, in laymans terms a "toxic waste dump". I have a chronic and devestating illness as a result of exposure to environmental toxins. I cut myself on a piece of coral in the Florida Keys in the late 90's. Off the record concensus by my physicians is that whatever was passing through in the currents, got into my body. This, was the exposure of what I consider to be continious exposure to toxins that, like the world, has wreaked devestation.
It would be so easy to launch into the never-ending rant that I have for this (not elected the first time and barely elected with question) President, Carl Rove and the partners in crime, but I wil not.
My issues are the imminent danger of this nation becoming a theocracy andthe building blatent disregard for the world. By this I mean, the land, air, water, and all of life. I think often that instead of celebrations after a child is born, there, instead should be a time of mourning. What children have to face will be far worse than what we, who are couragous enough to face, now do.
My belief is this. Until each individual assumes some degree of personal responsibility for the state of this country, and the world as it is today, then nothing will change. Why did this happen? An oversimplification at best but, I answer ... Because it was allowed to happen.
I fully support Black Thursday's efforts. Might I also add this. In addition to calling into work, and not buying anything, that the following be considered. Do not use your telephones, computers televisions or any other communication devices. Nothing that would generate any revenue! A day of mourning should be silent. May our tears and grief over this devestation be heard above the muzac and clinking of coctail glasses at the inagural balls.
Thank you all.
I think just for good laughs, I'll make sure I do my monthly grocery shopping and house shopping on January 20th just to make up for the few that won't. How about that. Let's start a website in support Jan 20th and get more people to shop. I will definitely be shopping that day. I love you Bush and America!!!!!!!!!!!!I am proud to be from Texas, Home of our great morally correct Leader. SO PROUD
You freaking losers are too funny, hehe. :)
It's good to see that even though many people voted the wrong way, there are many more who truly have "moral values". I wonder if The people who voted for the re-election of the Bush Administration's frightening agenda really even actually know what moral values are.
A; The war in Iraq is completlely immoral because the country never had weapons of mass destruction, nor did the country have any involvement with the events of 9/11/01,and that is factually proven even according to the 9/11 comission. As a matter of fact, the Bush Administration insisted s strongly that the country did have those weapons that the American people were lied to about that.Hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqi's are dead and dying as we read because of it.Does anyone want to argue about how moral that is?
B; The Bush Administration has built a disastrous economy, spending biliions and billions of dollars to invade Iraq per month, and it is expected that at least $100 billion will be spent to slaughter the country alone.Meanwhile tax cuts are being given to the wealthiest people(those who own corporations and make millions of dollars a year). This alone has caused the highest deficit EVER in American history as the majority of average americans fall into poverty and become unemployed and uninsured with healthcare and such .Of course this problem gets worst every day and good old dubbya has no solution at all to this problem but more of the same.
C; Bush is fairly entitled to be against abortion as many Americans are and I actually respect that, but trying to make abortion outright illegal is downright dangerous because many women are sexually abused, raped, unable to care for children for any number of reasons, and those who are denied abortions will eventually go to elaborate and dangerous lengths to get one.We should promote life not by making making abortion illegal which is unconstitutional, but through planned parenthood and such.We should try to decrease abortion, but it should never be made illegal.
D; Bush's record on the environment is a horrible disaster. He has proposed arctic drilling, opened very many acres of forests to logging, severely cut back on environmental laws imposed by Bll Clinton's administration, and ignored the Kyoto Protocol for starters.
E; Bush's stance that homosexual marriage is immoral, sinful, etc is hogwash and I have yet to explicity see any passage in the bible which states it as a sin.People who act like abortion is so immoral should realize that this may decrease abortion since many homosexual couples are happy to adopt unwanted children who could have been aborted.
There are so many reasons why Bush is wrong for America including the Patriot act and the corporate whores he is friends with but these are the main reasons I chose to use
I am the First anonymous reponder and forgot to add something:
Before we go to war,we were always supposed to get strict authorization from the United nations that we are. JUST SO ANY BUSH_SUPPORTER READING THIS KNOWS that never happened, and weapons inspectors never were given time to do their jobs to be positive wmd's were in fact over in Iraq, and therefore the war IS in fact ILLEGAL.(yES!)
More than ever I was outraged to find out that Bush's dubious "No Child Left behind act"(his education plan)is threatening and actually withdrawing needed funding to our high schools and colleges across America if millitary recruiters are disallowed int that school. I've been approached myself by these recruiters several times and they are VERY aggressivley trying to recruit anyone. As a matter of fact the recruiters were polite and friendly, and made me feel guilt by saying "thanks but no thanks."
I feel like the military has become pedophiles in trying to convince kids just graduated from high school that they will have a lifetime opprtunity if they sign to join the military.Nevertheless what kind of an education paln is that?
Meanwhile Pell grants have decreased, fewer minorities than ever before attend college, and to top it off the president and first lady see the administration's palns and our schools as doing wonderfully.Frankly I find this to be very disturbing to say the least.
In it's recent history,America has faced many obstacles and hard times,
The war in Vietnam
The civil rights movement which led to the assanation Of Martin Luther King Jr and Malcom X
The assasanation of John F Kennedy-terrorism-scandals like Watergate
But it seems that right now we are being faced with a huge threat yet again and that is this Bush Administration-with an unjustified invasion of Iraq most evident in that statement.
Our economy is in serious danger as is America's very own constitution,it's environment,it's education system, communities that are in poverty and have been are only getting much worst under President Bush.Of course you have a choice to let your voice be heard and demand change that is needed in this country or you can sit back and let things continue to grow into deeper chaos by every day for the next 4 years.I support this cause like I support everyone should have a fair right to vote if they are elligible to.There will be name-calling from the so called people in possession of what they call "moral values",and that's a level of hypocrisy of which a bible could be published on.
If you can't make your voice heard at Bush's unfortunate second inauguration, then do it by wearing black and holding a vigil for the many innocent people who have been killed as a result of Bush's unjustified war and the people affected by his disastrous agenda and economy.
I will wear black on Thurs wether or not I make it to Washington in order to let my voice be heard. Bush is not my President! I see what is happening and never before have I even thought to take a stance politically.
Mr Bush is an evil immoral man. A moral man would care about his people not just a segment of them.
Womens rights are being eroded away.
The Environment is being eroded away.
Common Decency is being eroded away. All from the Greed and Conciet of a Man who uses Religion as a shield.
Sorry George I will not drink your coolaid!
If you are reading this and feel that you voted for Bush with commitment find out what his issues are. The ones dear to you heart. Learn ALL about them beyond just what one sided spin is. Because you will see in everything that this man does it is all geared toward the benefit of big corporations, Greed and money. This man is not a regular guy, as my, desert living, head in the sand sister would like to believe. He is a multimillionaire who donates a paultry sum to the Sunami victims only because he has to and will not divulge to which organizations. He is a decietful man and hires decietful people to work with him.
I am trying to teach my children to take responsibility for the things they do and make ammends when they do wrong. How difficult this is in a society where our President takes no responsibility and admits to no wrong doing even when it becomes common knowledge.
I question the validity of the election in Ohio as well as other states. And can not believe that so many have been hoodwinked by an alcoholic abusive man who may have stopped partaking but his actions still show the lingering of the disease.
Beyond Republican, Democrat, Green, Libertarian or whatever you may consider yourself we ALL must be commited to make this a better Country and a better World for each other. You do that with care and consideration for everyone NOT just a few.
I am slightly confused. I stumbled across this webiste today and decided to read the postings. A number of you have repeatedly cited that there was widespread election fraud in Ohio. Bush won by over a hundred thousand votes. I can understand that there may have been certain inconsistancies in the ability of the people to go out and vote on that day, but he won by a hundred thousand. I really think you should all grow up. If you want to talk about voter fraud, look at the state on washington. Dino Rossi, a republican won 2 recounts and then lost the third recount by only a hundred votes. And if you read the Times, you would know that the State Department is currently filing a lawsuit against Washington State because soldiers in Iraq did not receive their absentee ballots on time to vote. Now for those of you who study politics, the military votes republican higher on average then they do for democrats. That is voter fraud.
For your information, it is not illegal to fight a war without approval of the United Nations. If anything, when France opposed the war on Iraq, its motives for doing so were immoral. France opposed the war on Iraq, not because innocent civilians might die, but because it would lose lucrative illegal contracts with Iraq. It was not the United States who went to war for oil, it was France who tried to veto a war because it would lose oil. War is never good, but to allow bad people to commit atrocities is worse. We freed a nation from a murderous dictator who has used chemical weapons on hundreds of thousands of Kurds. It is sad that 1200 US troops dies, it is sad that a hunred thousand iraqis dies, but the benefit of freeing Iraq outweighs that. We are on the verge of creating a new democracy in the middle east. To put out US troops now would cause a disaster. If the insurgents (Al Queada) win, those who lost their lives would have done so in vain. War is never easy, but we must continue on and fight for freedom.
Wanted to say hello and solidarity from David at the 'other' Black Thursday. Thanks to you guys for your efforts. Besides doing what we're doing, I'm gonna be wearing black, of course...any and all protests against this illegal, inhumane, and murderous regime get my maximum respect.
Here's to a better tomorrow - after the impeachment. :)

Poor feeble minds...Michael Savage for President in 2008!
Get over it. Bush won and your candidate lost. Remember this, Bush got more votes then any other president in history and your boycott is silly.
I am an american woman who's wearing black Thursday because I'm angry at Bush for a lot of reasons
1) Doing his damnedest to take away my right to control my own body.
2) Treating gays as second class citizens. I'm furious at the thought that a couple of my dearest friends cannot make their commitment to each other formal because his pandering to the Radical Religous Right.
3) Waging a war for no other reason than to prove he could get more people killed fewer good reasons than his daddy could.
4) "No child left behind".
5) Turning the word "christian" into a perjorative. The word that once meant "follower of Christ" now means closed-minded, vengeful, bigot, who's scared of everything they can't understand and everyone who isn't like them.
I do NOT like Bush, I did NOT vote for him and I plan to protest Thursday to remind him and others that he is president of an entire country, not just the part that agreed with him.
Wonderful.. I totally support your efforts. As a Canadian, I have shared your blog with friends across the world. I love my American friends but dislike American Foreign Policy. Bullying is not a way to make friends. Wake up Mr. Bush!! Wake up America!! As someone who really has no say in how your country is run, I give you my support in the only way i can. Tying my black mourning arm band on. You have my deepest sympathy America. With deepest sorrow, C.Hammond Canada
To Anonymous who stupidly points out that Bush has received more votes than any other President in history: This is because of something called population growth. It's natural. Bush won with 51% versus Kerry's 49%. That's how it is, not any other way. Please don't confuse the popular vote with the actual percentages. Thank you...

You liberals are worse than terrorists. You aid and abed animals who would just as soon cut off the heads of innocent people. You are a burden to America and the rest of the civilized world. Only time will tell if God will forgive you for all the harm you have brought on to your fellow man.
Signed: A Veteran
Hey, A Veteran, THAT'S A GOOD POINT.
I SEE THIS SITE NO LONGER HAS A GUEST BOOK. IT COULD BE BECAUSE THE PRO-BUSH COMMENTS OUTNUMBERED THE ANTI-BUSH RETORICK. I BET THE NUMBER OF LIBERALS VISITING THEIR PSYCHIATRISTS INCREASED MORE THAN WHEN OUR PRESIDENT WAS ELECTED BY A CLEAR MAJORITY OF TRUE AMERICANS.
GOD BLESS AMERICA.
Cattywampus, what in the world is Omnisexual? Isn't gay good enough for you anymore? A liberal lesbian that wants to create a fantasy world. What a surprise.
Was that user name "Cattywampus" or "Cathywantpus"?
Omnisexual means a person will have sex with anything, including animals.
After reading the previous posts, I have decided to post a comment as an American citizen that is fed up with all of the child like behavior. That is not a slam against fellow Democrats, nor is it a slam against Republicans. Everyone has their reasons for believing whatever it is that they believe.
My reason for wearing black on January 20th is completely personal. Last March, my father was told that the company he worked for was going to be moved overseas. This was because of the idea of tax breaks that Mr. Bush offered. My father was the Network Manager of Systems and Operations for a company near my hometown. My father, the smartest man I know, the man that I have never heard answer a question by saying 'I don't know' was going to be out of a job and there was nothing he could do about it. This was five months before his first born daughter was scheduled to go to college. How was he supposed to work that out? My parents had always promised to help me go to college. They felt as though it was their duty as parents to see that I got a very good education. Now you can say whatever you want about the fact that I didn't have much money saved for school; but that's how it was. And there was nothing I could do to change it. If I knew how things were going to turn out, I would have planned things better. I guess you could say our family was indirectly "attacked" by the president. To this day, my dad does not have a full time job.
On Thursday, January 20th, I will be wearing black to show my support and appreciation for my father, and the people like him all over the country. Appreciation for their hard work and dedication to get through these tough times.
I'll be wearing as much white as I can find...I am going to go out and buy new white clothes on Thursday just for this. You folks really need to get a life.
BTW you can get your "Proud Resident of Jesusland" bumperstickers at http://www.jesuslandonline.com
I think you should all think about this little tid bit. Bush got 51% of the vote. That is something Bill Clinton was never able to do. Bush is the first president in 16 years to get a majority of votes.
I have to agree with the "GET A LIFE POST". I am currently in the military and very proud to have Bush as my Commander in Chief for another 4 years.
I am deeply saddened by the hateful posts preceeding mine.
I will wear black on the 20th to express my grief with the political system in this country. The system no longer allows for a true diversity of beliefs in our nation.
Besides the evaporation of basic human rights - the oppression of women, LGBT, people of color, the poor, the ill, the young and nearly everyone who is not white, straight, and male; the current administration stands for greed and commercialism.
This is not the country our forebearers envisioned.
Therfore, I mourn.
I would like to post my reasons for wearing black on Thrusday. I am a young mother of 2 boys in the Head Start program. Because of the war in Iraq he is taking money from our children and their possible future. Geroge W. is steeling from our children, our own education, and steeling the lives away from our young troops. I get letters from friends in Iraq telling me that they are tired of killing inocent people. I can't blame the troops for being in Iraq because that was almost me, I know they didn't have a choice about going, only about enlisting.
My belief is that the system of politics new perpouse is to make people stupid. You figure that the less educated people of our nation believe that giving up freedoms is the best way to be safe. In reality, we have managed to keep our country and people safe by responding to terrist threts. According to the record, 9/11 could have been avoided by simply responding to inteligence information. President Bush didn't even open the folder. He refused to take action because the American people where up in arms about the "election" that he managed to win by cheeting you know the first one. If you want to hear and see the truth I would recomend watching Ferinheit 9-11.
I don't understand the hateful posts, I honistly believe that we need a place to state why we mourn, If you don't agree then you don't agree, please stop making personal attacks.
I am wearing black today because I honor the men and women who serve our country.
I mourn for those lost.
I'm sure we all want what is best for our soldiers, and what is best for our country. Sadly, we are not heading in that direction.
I mourn for the over 1,000 soldiers who lost their lives in Iraq.
I mourn for (thousands of) dead "contractors" who are not added to the count of dead soldiers/Americans (another deception handed to the masses).
I mourn for the over 100,000 dead innocent Iraqian men, women and children whom this government "freed."
I mourn for the educational system which is being gutted from the inside out from slashed programs and budget cuts...from programs developed, and then not funded.
On a personal note, I am not "anti-Republican" ... so don't even read into that. Some of my closest friends and favorite people are Republicans *wink* I am not "pro-Kerry." He wasn't my choice from the Democratic nominees. I just think that we are losing many things precious to us, and we are not paying attention. This reminds me of the Frog Experiment...........
In the experiment a frog was dropped into a pot of hot (not boiling) water. It immediately jumped out, as would any sensible frog. Then it was placed in a pot of cool water sitting on a stove. This was more to its liking, so it swam about and lounged comfortably. The heat was turned on and raised very gradually. Soon it was hotter than the water in the first experiment, but the frog didn't jump out. This was because there was no dramatic difference, as there had been when it was taken from room temperature and dropped into hot water. The frog became accustomed to the increased temperature as it was raised little by little. Before long the temperature was so high that the frog was unable to jump out of the pot, and it died.
I am wearing black today.
I feel as if I went to bed last night in America and woke up this morning in North Korea. No kidding.
Forty million, flushed away so that the world's worst war criminals since Hitler and Stalin can congratulate themselves on pulling off another stolen election.
They say it's being paid for with "private" funds. Yeah, right. Please take a look at the guest list and realize where that money really comes from. The corporate tycoons who are funding this blasphemous spectacle made their fortunes by cheating working-class taxpayers at every opportunity using unethical, if not illegal, business practices. It's the money they made when they gouged California energy consumers, when they slammed your phone service, when they jacked up the interest rate on your credit card from 7 to 19%, claiming your payment was 6 hours late.
It's the money they "saved" by deliberately hiring illegal immigrants, by withholding living wages and benefits from their employees, by privatizing or dissolving pension funds, and by sending your jobs to India.
It's the money they made from no-bid contracts, from skirting environmental laws, from suing small farmers who try to save seed, and from charging you $2 for the same pill they charge 60 cents for in Canada.
It's the profits they get to keep when they get away with insider trading and tax evasion, when they evade legal liability for selling you worthless or dangerous products, when they cancel your homeowner's policy as punishment for making a claim after you paid 15 years of premiums, and when they add new bank fees simply "because they CAN."
You better believe that it is indeed OUR money that is funding the coronation of this pompous sociopath.
The Ukrainians won a revote when it happened to them because they cared enough to drop what they were doing and turn out by the millions to demand it. If the "majority" of Americans think that protest is "silly," well then, that's the saddest part of all.
America IS my country, but Bush IS NOT my President!
To all those who say Dubya "got more votes than any other presidential candidate in history" there are more people in this country than at any time in history. What you really need to be looking at are precentages of the electorate.
Although I did not know about the 'national day of mourning:'
I wore black today out of respect for our murdered democracy.
I wore black today to mourn our dying ecosystem
I wore black today to mourn the 100K plus dead Iragis who died because of one man's hubris.
I wore black today to mourn the young men and women in uniform who were lost in a war without an exit strategy.
I wore black today to mourn our diminishing civil and human rights.
I wore black today to mourn the orphaned education system in the U.S.
I wore black today to mourn the future our children should have had that has been morgaged by a fiscal policy that has no basis in reality.
I wore black today to mourn our good name.
I wore black today, did you?
I am wearing black today. I am because of the loved ones killed in Iraq. I am because they were lied to. I am also waring black because 59 million Americans are not.
sore losers... i mean how much more wining will we have to listen to over the next four years. Get over it, i have and am channeling my anger into something more constructive.
ki
Sore losers? We are mourning our Fallen Heros....Our American Soldiers......Our Democracy. You don't care about these things? You just don't get it......and sadly many of those like you never will.
I wore black today. All black. A black article of clothing for everything I am mourning today.
My uncle who was murdered in Iraq... a black ribbon.
My dad who no longer has a job... black pants.
My "future" as a music educator... black shoes.
The shape this country is in... a black sweater.
The seemingly endless and unnecessary fighting between Republicans and Democrats... a black jacket.
Everyone needs to take a step back and realize that we really are one nation. We need to come together, not divide ourselves.
"...One Nation, Under God, Indivisible, With Liberty and Justice for All."
I think the 'Descendents' nailed it... maybe a few words for Bush to ponder:
"We flipped our finger to the king of England, stole our country from the Indians. With God on our side, and guns in our hands, took it for our own. We're a nation dedicated to liberty, justice and equality. Does it look that way to you? It doesn't look that way to me. Sickest joke I know. Listen up man, I'll tell you who I am. Just another stupid American. You don't wanna listen, you don't wanna understand. So finish up your drink and go home."
Here is my humble effort, written today as form of protest, to send GW a message on this Inaguration Day~Mourning Dove Caller

"sweet Iraqi child"
child
where is your hope
your calm in the storm
you were promised freedom
tell me, where is it now
your school is in ruin
your home blown away
tears flow freely
on your blood stained face
I wish I could hold you
keep you safe in my arms
take away the tears
remove the harms
where is the army of compassion
that has bombed your land
will you ever smile again
know the feeling of carefree
run and play in laughter
tumble to the ground in joy
cling tightly to your mother
showering kisses on your face
I wish I could hold you
keep you safe in my arms
take away the tears
remove the harms
will you ever see the day
your land will be your own
will you live life in freedom
and believing as you wish
live secure in who you are
proud of who you've become
hold on to your hope
be free in your heart
be strong

This was inspired by a picture that is out on the internet, I'm sure you have seen it. A young Iraqi girl, standing and screaming in terror with her parent's blood and brain matter splattered on her face.
ENOUGH!
As we go through Pomp and Circumstance in the US today, January 20, 2005....REMEMBER that young girl.
I wear black today simply in mourning. I mourn my country, for it is lost to me now. I mourn the freedoms Bush has taken from myself and my people. I mourn the hope we once gave to others. We have no more hope.
Black Thursday-Hail to the Theif! Day Two (2)
1:23PM It's offical.. Were all FUCKED! In our citys edtion of the morning newspaper I read of a website titled BlackThursday.org (See Links Page.) They encourged those of us not in favor of this "Day of Mourning" to sport a black ribbon on your person and/or the antenna of your vehicle. For the next hour or so I scurried around the house looking for a reasonable facsimile (I knew I didn't keep black ribbon in the house, though I may from now on.) Alas I found a black, knotted tie from a Crown Royal bag and proceeded to scrounge for a small saftey-pin or some sort of attachment device. Crude, yet effective to my "Cause" I displayed it with honor as I gather my tools of documentation and find a good spot in front of the TV. Through the "Ho-Hum" and the "Blaa, Blaa, Blaa's" presented by the loyalist and hangers-on (Throw in a few good "Show tunes")I aimed my digi cam at my small one-eyed monster in front of me and clicked shots of whatever I thought may be worthwhile moments of the daze events.(See Shoots Section.) Was all this really appropriate? Hearing the multitude of daily reports of soldiers being dismantled and "officals" of the people we are there to liberate being assassinated, was it really time for a big party in the streets of our nations capital? I would hope that it would not be in me to throw back a few beers in joyus celebration while loved ones, friends or those of whom are employed under me risk their asses to ensure that my farcical delusions may someday become a spotlight engrossing reality. But, then I earn much less than two hundred thousand dollars a year so who am I? I must admit I did not listen to the whole speech. But one line that did get my whole attention was the President pridefully boasting a vow to end tranny in our world. The least he could have done to make that statement the least bit realistic would to have added "As soon as I am done scarfing down this donated buffet lunch." Wow! An end to tranny in our world! Good luck with that one Mr. President...
So my son went to his local Texas elementary school with a sack lunch, with the story his Daddy told him about Black Thursday ringing in his ears. When he came home he said no one, not even his teachers knew about Black Thursday. Now they do. That's progress, isn't it?
The sheer irony of this site working today is wonderful. God bless America.
I would like to express my condolences for our great country. We lost our election due to many circumstances. It is a sad day when we have a president who actually lies to every single person on national tv when he basically said that he would not push freedom upon the unwilling - which is just what we are doing in Iraq. As a sign of my "mourning" I and my 14 year old daughter wore all black today. and we both made sure that all those around us knew why we were in "mourning". I honestly hope that something good will come of these horrendous events.
God Save our great nation!
How?
How was a question asked by millions of Americans on the morning of November 3, 2005. Black Wednesday, if you will. I was one of those Americans. Being that I cant vote yet, i cannot call myself one of the brave 49% of this country. But i support you all with all my hearts. Ever since that fatefull day there has been a sense of fear, a sense of anxiety come over me as I watch this man that calls himself our president coax this nation of sheep into believing and supporting his evil bidings. It amazes how there could be such an overwhelming support for this man, and what he stands for. Unnecisary war, corperate anerica, environment obliteration, education cuts, tax cuts for the rich. I know you have all heard it before. But, this is in the past. Us liberals got a hard blow struck to our power in this country this election, but we musn't give up. Be sure, in 2006 to get out and vote, in 2008 get out and vote, encourage others, enlighten others, show the republicans that were still strong and were not going to take what they have to offer. Speak out, protest, in any way possible. I urge you, keep on fighting the good fight, and win this country back for the real moral right.

IFLH announces Senator David Cain has joined its Board of Directors!!
IFLH volume trading is beginning to surge with landslide Announcement. The value of this
stock appears poised for growth! This one should not remain on the ground floor for long.
BREAKING NEWS!!
InterFinancial Holdings, Corp. (OTC Pink Sheets: IFLH - News) announced that they have added
David Cain to their board of directors. David Cain is currently the Chairman of the advisory
board to TTI (Texas Transportation Institute). Senator Cain represented Senate District 2 for
eight years in the Texas Senate and Chaired the Senate State Affairs Subcommittee on
Transportation and served nine terms in the Texas House of Representatives for District 107.
During his twelve years as Chairman of the House Committee on Transportation, Senator Cains
efforts on behalf of the people of Texas have been widely recognized. He was named to Texas
Monthly Magazines list of Ten Best Legislators, the Dallas Morning News said he was one of
the outstanding legislators of the 73rd session, and the Texas Department of Transportation
awarded him the Russell H. Perry Award in 1995 for his efforts to gain public awareness of
the need for and benefits of transportation facilities in the State of Texas.
Jeffrey C. Bruteyn, Managing Director, stated, We at InterFinancial are proud to have such a
widely recognized Senator join our board and oversee out automotive lending division. His
affiliations and connections to the automotive industry will be invaluable to our company.
Senator Cain will be instrumental in expediting our approval to use a government issued Seller
Finance License.
Seller Finance Licenses are very difficult to obtain and are usually reserved for the Big Boys
with heavy lobbyists. These licenses are highly coveted because it allows the finance company
to collect the entire down payment, instead of paying a portion of it to the taxing authority.
This dramatically helps a finance companys bottom line if the buyer defaults on the loan.
With the new GPS tracking systems being installed on every car to dramatically improve
repossessions and with Senator Cain on the Board of Directors, InterFinancial Holdings
is ready to take their business to the next level.

"BREAKING NEWS"
===============
-Energy and Asset Technology, Inc. (EGTY) owns a global license to market
the genetically enhanced Global Cedar growth trees, with plans to
REVOLUTIONIZE the forest-timber industry.
These newly enhanced Global Cedar trees require only 9-12 years of growth before they can
be harvested for lumber, whereas worldwide growth time for lumber is 30-50 years.
Other than growing at an astonishing rate, the Global Cedar has a number of other benefits.
Its natural elements make it resistant to termites, and the lack of oils and sap found in the wood
make it resistant to forest fire, ensuring higher returns on investments.
the wood is very lightweight and strong, lighter than Poplar and over twice
as strong as Balsa, which makes it great for construction. It also has
the unique ability to regrow itself from the stump, minimizing the land and
time to replant and develop new root systems.
Based on current resources and agreements, EGTY projects revenues of $140 Million
with an approximate profit margin of 40% for each 9-year cycle. With anticipated
growth, EGTY is expected to challenge Deltic Timber Corp. during its initial 9-year cycle.
Deltic Timber Corp. currently trades at over $38.00 a share with about $153 Million in revenues.
As the reputation and demand for the Global Cedar tree continues to grow around the world
EGTY believes additional multi-million dollar agreements will be forthcoming. The Global Cedar nursery has produced
about 100,000 infant plants and is developing a production growth target of 250,000 infant plants per month.
Energy and Asset Technology is currently in negotiations with land and business owners in New Zealand,
Greece and Malaysia regarding the purchase of their popular and profitable fast growing infant tree plants.
Inquiries from the governments of Brazil and Ecuador are also being evaluated.
