Fantasy Forest Palmetto Debuts its First Festival of Christmas Trees The City of Palmetto premiers its first Fantasy Forest, a festival of decorated Christmas trees November 30-December 13th. Fantasy Forest is a wholesome, one-of-a-kind, dazzling, fun-filled family holiday experience promising to delight one and all. This whimsical, holiday wonderland will offer a breathtaking display of thousands of lights adorning spectacular Christmas trees. Each tree will be uniquely decorated by a sponsoring organization, to capture a special theme or concept. At the close of the event, all trees will be available for purchase. Proceeds will benefit the organizations decorating Christmas trees. These Organizations will also operate daily snack concessions. The goal of the Fantasy Forest is to bring families, friends, neighbors and visitors together to celebrate the holiday season in Palmetto. This event will also allow the City, local churches, non-profit organizations and businesses to get to know each other, work together, demonstrate their collective creativity, raise community awareness (and needed funds) at the same time." This event will be held at Palmetto’s Community Center, 595 Main Street, Palmetto. The Festival of Christmas Trees will be open Monday-Friday, 4pm-8pm; Saturday & Sunday, 10am to 7pm. Tickets priced at $5.50 adults, $3.50 Teens/Seniors; children, $1.50 (under 12). Tickets will be available October 1st at Palmetto City Hall, 509 Toombs Street or call 770-463-3377. Tickets may also be purchased through sponsoring non-profit organizations, churches and businesses. For more information on this event, contact Coordinator, Marjorie Morrow at 770-463-3377, or fantasyforest@citypalmetto.com. |
