Kotys Family Album

Rick Lee Class of '73

 I count myself among the many lucky guys who had the good fortune to be coached by Nick Kotys.  I always felt cheated that I only had one year with him due to his retirement.  But even though it was brief, it was memorable. I remember the first time I screwed up in a game, he searched me out screaming my name, grabbed me by the face mask and let me know exactly where I went wrong.  It was beautiful.  Nick Kotys knew my name!!  That came in handy a few years later when I graduated, he put in a good word with the coaches at Lafayette College in Easton, Pa.  I think one of the coaches there knew him from his Shickshinny days.  As you know, Nick was a giver.  I'll always be grateful for his help and friendship. 

I married a Greek woman and in the Greek Orthodox church we say "May his memory be eternal". It will be.
