My name is Barbara of BKay Papillons. I received my first Papillon in 1992. Prior to this I wasn’t even aware of the breed. My mixed rat terrier was 12 years old when I began looking for a companion and to enter in obedience shows. I saw a cute little dog, which later I found out he was a Papillon. His name was Razor and his owner was my obedience instructor. I spent time with him prior to class and was introduced to his breeder. Ruth Ann Ford (Ramsey) shared her Papillon books and answered many questions. Ruth Ann called one evening stating a single puppy was born on Jan 31, 1992. I was excited, nervous and many thoughts raced through my head about the purchase price, payments, this contract thing, and how I would work it out. Through many calls and vacillating, I made the decision .. yes, I wanted her. My calls did not end with taking Bitsy home, they continued especially throughout her first year. I can only imagine how tired RuthAnn was answering my numerous questions. I have learned so much about Papillons, dog shows, the dog world, and obedience. I am very thankful for God leading Ruth Ann to me and everything she taught me. I have met so many wonderful people and many very good friends!

I continue to enjoy training for obedience, agility, learning to track, the breed ring, and Delta Society Pet Partner visitation.  My Papillon family has grown to include Bitsy, Merry, Lucky, Pocket and Little Bit (PJ), the new addition. 

It has been said once you have a Papillon, you can't have just one. :)
