Kim would have turned 37 on March 24th, by Laurie

Dear Friends:

Monday, March 24 would have been Kim's 37th birthday. I have been secretly dreading it for about a month trying to figure out how I would get through the day without being a mess. For some reason this particular day seems more difficult than some of the other holidays. I guess more time has passed and reality and finality is beginning to set in. Then it came to me, spend the day doing all the things that Kim would love for me to do and that she loved to do, celebrate the things that she celebrated and laugh and take joy in what she would laugh and take joy in doing. So . . . here goes, try doing one or more of the following things in Kim's honor for her birthday:

1.a. Give your kids an extra hug and kiss, tell them you love them every chance you get.
1.b. Give your spouse a big hug for no reason and hold on extra long. Write them a love note.
2. Laugh too loud in public places and involve everyone else in the fun.
3. Call your Mom and tell her you love her and just how great she is.
4. Call your Dad and tell him you love him and just how great he is, make him laugh and pump him up.
5. Call your siblings and tell them how much you love them!! Ask about their kids and share some about yours, tell them a secret that no one else knows, remember a childhood story.
6. Talk a little longer on your cell phone than you really should.
7. Plant a beautiful spring pot.
8. Buy yourself a snazzy new outfit.
9. Get a group of people together just for the fun of it!
10. Call an old friend you haven't talked to in a while and talk and laugh for an hour.
11. Organize a drawer, anything!
12. Tell someone how much you appreciate them.
13. Hunt down and buy the perfect gift for someone.
14. Read your Bible and share something awesome you read with a friend.
15. Sing the "Itsy Bitsy Spider" with your kids.
16. Read the "long" book for bedtime story to your kids and let them look at the pictures for as long as they want to.
17. Drop off a surprise gift for a friend for no reason at all.
18. Go to the park and take a picnic! Get dirty and don't care at all!
19. Call someone to tell them something hilarious! Laugh out loud!
20. Call your grandparents and tell them you love them.
21. Talk to the salesperson.
22. Try some new make-up.
23. Go for a walk with your family, go for a run with a friend.
24. Do someone a favor.
25. Celebrate life and live each day to the fullest!!

I hope you have a great day!! Thank you for all the kindness and prayers you have shared and continue to share with our family. Happy Birthday Kim!

Lots of Love,

Laurie

Thanks from the Boylston family

We would like to thank the hundreds of friends and family that have reached out to us in love and sympathy. You will never know how much you have meant to each member of our family. The food, flowers, donations, visits, cards, toys, organizing, answering the phone, taking messages and endless expressions of love and concern have encouraged our hearts and lifted our spirits.

There have been two memorial services for Kim. The first on May 28th was in California at Menlo Park Presbyterian Church where Kim and Rudolph attended church. It was a beautiful service and meant so much to our family. Two of Kim’s friends and her sister spoke at the service. The minister was awesome.

Kim’s friends in California were incredible. They supported us in every way and have made a lasting impression on our hearts. They are now forever friends.

The memorial service in Atlanta was at our home church Briarlake Baptist. We were shocked to see so many friends there and just basked in the ocean of love shown to us.

Wonderful memories about Kim shared by her friends and family

Help Julien and Sophie remember what kind of a person their Mom was

Julien and Sophie will for sure remember the warmth and love of their Mom. Let’s help them remember more about her!
Laurie is working on a book for Rodolphe and the kids to have to help them remember and tell them what kind of a mother she was.
If you feel like sharing your memories, please send them to Laurie Rogers

Here is one of my memories: Kim had forgotten her camera for the school mother’s day celebration. It was very important for her to have a picture of Julien and her together. So she made sure I would take one before the celebration started. I did. She never got a chance to see it.
