5th Almost Annual Two-Bits Rally Saturday, July 11, 2010. Start and end in Littleton, Colorado. A 6-hour introduction to 24-hour motorcycle rallies. Designed to be challenging and fun for both rookies and those that have competed in 24-hour rallies such as the Utah 1088, Thin Air TT, LOE 1000, etc.

Over the years I've been able to take some fun and interesting motorcycle trips. Here are some stories about a few of those rides.

A quick book review: A while back I purchased "Proficient Motorcycling" by David L. Hough, who writes a monthly article by the same name in Motorcycle Consumer News. The 256-page book, with chapters entitled Risk, Motorcycle Dynamics, Urban Traffic Survival, Booby Traps, Special Situations, and Sharing the Ride, is full of well written information, sharp diagrams, and good photos. Hough has been writing for about 30 years, knows his stuff, and knows how to write it so we can all understand it. He works as a technical illustrator, so the diagrams, photos, and layout of the book are first rate. I highly recommend this book to anyone that wants to improve their riding skills.
