Bonii during the practice rally on January 17.

A pre-rally run up to Eldorado Springs, CO, to test the bike and equipment.

Memphis. Cool Elvis stuff.

The Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Stone Mountain near Atlanta.

Gatorland in Orlando.

Gateway Arch, as seen from the railyards in East St. Louis. Stopped here during the night so the bonus didn't count. But I lived to tell about it.

An 8-day ride. ATGATT.

Relaxed and ready to ride.

Push-pins all over the USA and Canada. (I used them in S&T also.)

Speeding through Colorado.

The first 4 days. What I thought was a well-planned route of 4760 miles. Maybe it was just an OK route.

Stars & Stripes Park, Oklahoma City, OK.

Prison near Palestine, TX.

Boquillas Canyon, Big Bend National Park, TX. Oops, long ride for 0 points.

Elephant Butte Lake near Truth or Consequences, NM. Another oops.

Sonny Bono Salton Sea National Wildlife Refuge near Salton, CA.

Pinks in Los Angeles. Oops, placemark on neighboring building, not on Pinks just to the north.

Barker Ranch, way off the beaten path in Death Valley National Park, CA.

Donner Memorial State Park near Truckee, CA.

Back to checkpoint at rally headquarters in Gothenburg, NE, with 10 minutes to spare.

The second 4 days. A rushed, poorly planned 4152 mile route. But I went to Florida instead of Canada and finally saw Cape Canaveral.

Rickwood Field in Birmingham, AL.

Billy Carter's gas station in Plains, GA. Placemark in wrong spot, 0 points.

Alligator Point Yacht Basin near St. Teresa, FL.

Cape Canaveral Light House, FL.

Leon Inlet Light Station in Ponce Inlet, FL.

Tybee Island Light Station, Savannah, GA.

Cape Fear Rally headquarters, Wilmington, NC. Got here a little too late for rest bonus window.

Some tourist deal near Elberton, GA. Waited 2 hours for it to open.

Deal's Gap, NC. At this time of the year, it was dark, but traffic was light so it was a great ride. But since I didn't submit the photo in the time allowed, 0 points. Priceless.

Thanks to Dave Derrick and his team for putting on the Winter Armchair Rally, an excellent event which was very challenging and a lot of fun.
Thanks also to Rick Miller and Jim Puckett ( Mason Dixon 20/20 and the NotSupermanRally) for sponsoring the rally prizes.
