I was just doing a search on Olney's. I am an Olney. Actually
my husband is. I just married into it. They have a very LONG family
history, (family Tree).
Anyway, I found your daughters site which lead me to your
site. And now I understand a little more about your daughter.
This terrible negative outpour seems to be in most ALL of
the Olney's that I have met. I'm not saying your wrong. Actually a
lot of what I see here is right on. It's just the abundance of it all,
all the time that I object too. I'm trying to get my husband to STOP
talking about the take over of the world & the end of it all, all the
time. I am trying to get him to stop being so verbal in front of out 4
year old daughter too. I don't want her to grow up thinking the world is
all screwed up, & she needs to hide in the house because she's afraid all
the time. Anyway, I think you have a lot of good things here. But
can't you find some upbeat stuff to about our world.

Point taken, Sherry. I'm going to try to look on the bright side of things
(as best I can). Of course, I can't ignore the bad stuff - the world IS all
screwed up. But rather than hiding in the house because you're afraid, just try
to make the world a little better all the time, and please, teach your daughter
to do the same. Thanks for the input.
