Staff
Sergeant Bill Collins is a native of Griffin, Georgia. He entered the Army on September 11, 1990 and Attended Basic Training at Fort Sill, Oklahoma followed by Advanced Individual Training at Fort Bliss, Texas, graduating as a Chaparral
Crewmember. SSG Collins has also served time as an Avenger Crewmember from 1991-1993 and as an Administrative Specialist from
1997-2004. SSG Collins attended reclassification training at Fort Huachuca, Arizona in July 2004, graduating as an All
Source Intelligence Analyst.
SSG
Collins has served as a Team Leader, Administrative NCOIC, Operations NCOIC, and a Section Sergeant. He is currently serving as a Platoon Sergeant and Targeting NCOIC in the 2nd Infantry Division’s
Analysis and Control Element.
Overseas
assignments for SSG Collins include Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Iraq; Allied Forces
Southern Europe, Naples, Italy during Operation Joint Endeavor, and currently in the 2nd Infantry Division, South
Korea. His stateside assignments include two tours at Fort
Hood, Texas and one at Fort Rucker,
Alabama.

Collins’ military and civilian education includes Primary Leadership Development Course (Commandant’s List); Basic
Noncommissioned Officer’s Course (highest academic avg.); Equal Opportunity Leader’s Course, and Counterterrorism
Analysis Course. He is currently working towards a Bachelor’s degree in
American/Latin American History from Troy State
University, and has also attended University of Maryland University College, Central Texas College,
and Gordon College.

Achievement Medal, Army Commendation Medal w/2 Oak Leaf Clusters, Army Achievement Medal, Good Conduct Medal (2), Professional

War on Terrorism Medal, Korean Defense Service medal, Kosovo Campaign Medal w/service star, NATO Medal w/service star, SW
Asia Service Ribbon w/two service stars, and the Liberation of Kuwait Medals (Kuwait and Saudi Arabia).
SSG Collins is married to the former Rhonda Sims of Thomaston, Georgia, and has two daughters, Ariel and
Courtney.
