LOOSE CHANGE & FRIENDS

Folk - Old Time Country - Americana - Songs & Tunes

Loose Change and Friends performs an eclectic variety of traditional American string band and folk music, including instrumentals and vocal harmonies that are fun to sing and play, featuring: banjo, mandolin, guitar, autoharp, bass, ukulele, strumstick, and various other instruments.   On frequent occasions, performance of authentic Appalachian clog dance is also featured along with the musical program.  Loose Change and Friends is best described as "different."  Audiences are always delighted with the music and showmanship of this "down home" group of entertainers, whose performances celebrate and preserve the historic songs and tunes of our American heritage.  Our unique musical programs and concerts have been performed at local public libraries, senior residences, outdoor festivals, and private parties throughout the north and northwest Chicago suburbs.

Debuting in April 2006, Loose Change and Friends has also performed "Music of the Hills," a unique program of live Appalachian old time songs and instrumentals played while a DVD projector displays background images of Appalachian history and scenery, at many suburban Chicago libraries.  Debuting in 2008, Loose Change and Friends is performing Lincoln and Liberty, a program celebrating the American songs and tunes popular during President Lincoln's era.
