My true love is fishing, but Todd has that one covered.

Second to fishing are my wife and kids. We have lots of family activities, camping, canoeing the Guadalupe River, (did I mention fishing?) mainly anything going on outdoors, were either doing it or thinking about doing it.

When not outdoors with the family you will probably find me at the computer or listening to my scanner. Both, I enjoy immensely.

I started listening to scanners in 1977, when working in the security business. It was part of the job. The technology has improved by leaps and bounds. From ten channels using crystals, to software installed in your computer and utilizing your sound card to listen to up to 1000 channels.

What you can listen to is unlimited (except what is banned by law), Law Enforcement, Aviation, DEA, Fire, Forestry Evangelists, Rescue, Military, Security the list goes on and on.

I'll stop rambling now and get on with the good stuff. Check out the scanning page, the intent is to make it useful to the expert and the novice.
