Aug 30, 1996 Sept 14, 1996 Located on HWY 38 and nestled between mountains (at about 6500 feet), Barton Flats is home to several summer camps and Jenks Lake. Also in this area is an outdoor amphitheater and tent / RV campgrounds. There are many good hiking trails in this area. Hikers of all abilities will find a trail. A good fishing spot is Jenks Lake. I camped once w/Darryl, Diane and friends, at the Girl Scout camp (Diane's connections) and then a few weeks later at Camp Council w/The Quiet Hour staff and friends.
