Well, here I go. I must say that what you read here, are strictly
MY PERSONAL thoughts and opinions on the subject of Bigfoot being in Indiana. When posting on message boards and exchanging
emails with others in this area of 'research', I've often found myself having to defend myself AND more-over, my son and his
friends for having seen, what they in fact do believe they saw with THEIR OWN EYES: twice in fact. So... let's jump in and
muddy the waters.
I've said more times than I probably could count at this point, that while I personally DO
believe my son and two friends saw first-hand a Sasquatch that by their estimate stood between 8 and 9 feet tall, I do not
necessarily believe they "live here" for an extended period of time by any means, much less all the time. Very few involved
in Bigfoot Research believe they do live here at all. I can accept that. I've never said that they do. What those, who
espouse that idea fail to accept, is that there is a long history of 'bigfoot like' creature sightings in Indiana dating
all the way back into the 1800's. Still, no one is saying that because they've been seen, reported and encountered, upclose
and firsthand, that it naturally means they must live here. It only means that someone SAW one and had the courage to report
it.
There's a heavy debate among BF'ers on the issue of migration or nomadic possibilities. Those
who live in areas where there are more consistant year-round sightings will tell you "No... they don't travel around that
much. We have them here all the time." Fine: there are Bigfoot there year round. I have no proof either way.
Then you have areas where by logic, the location would not be practical by any
normal means, for such a large creature to live, move and sustain all that his needs would require... STILL, there are many
areas around the country including Indiana, where on a seasonal basis, they seem to pop-up at the most unexpected times
in the most unexpected places. It's just that simple. IF that means they migrate... so be it. IF that means they are nomadic...
then fine: they are nomadic. What do we really KNOW about them in the first place? NO ONE can pretend to 'know'
what could possibly be these creatures absolute life habits and methods of maintaining their lives and numbers. The truth
is that virtually NOTHING of quantitative substance is known about Bigfoot/Sasquatch, other than the little observational
reports and speculation of those who also have made claim to having seen and observed these creatures, some of which have
been multiple times.
MY POINT: While I, nor anyone else could offer you ANY kind of "PROOF" that Bigfoot lives in
Indiana, the general reports that have surfaced from the Hoosier state are highly consistant with most every 'average' report
of Bigfoot/Sasquatch sighting around the U.S. and Canada. So they live here? NO, I DID NOT say that. I said there are
reports of sightings that tend to occur on a seasonal basis, and also have a very inconsistant time-table to them.
My personal opinion is, having read countless reports from all over the nation and having discussed
this topic with many, many people from literally all around the nation, that whatever Bigfoot/Sasquatch really is, he DOES
move from place to place... time to time, at HIS own leisure and time of choice... is held to no specific agenda other than
the one he sets for himself... and IF he should choose to walk thru your backyard day or night, he will do so whether you
live in Texas, Oregon, Pennsylvania or Indiana.
And he'll do it whether you believe in him or not.
