The Vette build has been slow going due to a number of factors. Saving money for the project has been
the biggest factors. I started a new job working for The Whitlock Group as the on-site tech for Boeing in Houston in support of NASA Operations.
I now have an interesting situation, I have too many cars to store. We bought my daughter her first
vehicle, a '97 Jeep Cherokee and my son an '06 Mini Cooper S. I am out of garage space now that we have seven vehicles.
Also, I have two other projects in the works, the '53 Chevy Wagon and the '73 Beetle which are also on this site. The Beetle needs some body work, then I plan to sell it. (I need the space)
I am determined to press on with the Vette build until it is complete!
The latest on the Vette.
The body and dolly are now on the extension so there is room underneath to store the frame.
The bottom of the dolly is 29 inches from the floor and is 69 inches wide to allow for a full rolling frame with tires to
fit in the space. Here is a link to the extension.
Next on the agenda for the frame is to complete the gussett work and coat the frame with
POR-15. Once that is complete, I will install the suspension system. When the frame is once again a roller,
I plan to drop the body back on.
I will post more pics as I progress!
