Criterion F: Quality of Work

Achievement level

0    The student has shown a poor quality of work.
1    The student has shown a satisfactory quality of work.
2    The student has shown an outstanding quality of work.

F0    The student has shown a poor quality of work.

Student 1

This is a classic example of not getting finished with the task because the student waited too late to get started. On prior pages, he had not correctly found numerical values for probability. I appreciated his honesty at the end, but the task was in no way complete.

F0 example 1

Student 2

This young man sort of answered some of the questions in parts 2 and 3 of the drugs in the bloodstream task, but there's absolutely nothing to support his work or to indicate what his results actually mean. The graph and values he gives here do not match his earlier sketch, and he doesn't satisfy all of the requirements of the task. For part 4, he writes a total of four sentences on the next page. That part is incomplete as well.
F0 example 2

F1    The student has shown a satisfactory quality of work.

Most work is of F1 quality. While it may not seem fair, this score is awarded for work that ranges from "just barely adequate" to "really good, but with a couple of problems."

F2    The student has shown an outstanding quality of work.

This is uncommon, but not unheard of. Links to a couple of tasks that earned F2 are on the first page.
