Welcome to the Sleater Kinney Mailing Digest!

This list is only available in digest form, to be sent out once a day. All messages will be compiled for the day and sent out to all subscribers in a single digest through the list serve.

This list is for fans to discuss Sleater Kinney and to get to know each other. It is not an exclusively on-topic list. If you do not like to read off-topic posts, then you should skip over them or you may want to unsubscribe. Posts should, however, be in the spirit of Sleater Kinney.

While this list will be an open forum, the list maintainer (bgrrrl) will step in when things get out of hand. This list will be a place where people can express their views without getting flamed or attacked.

This list does not reflect the views of any member of Sleater Kinney. They are not held accountable for anything related to the digest. While the list occasionally enjoys posts from the band, Sleater-Kinney are not listees or actively engaged in continuous posts.

Some tips on posting/replying:

When replying to a letter, include only enough text so that people can understand what you are replying to. Too little or no text can leave people lost as to your point, and quoting an entire letter just to add some comments is wasteful and considered rude.

Do *NOT* send chain letters to the mailing lists. This includes petitions, political manifestos, make money fast, calls to arms, and assorted other cruft. I feel very strongly about eliminating junk email.

If you have something you want others to see, mention it when posting about something else, and offer to forward it by private email. Don't clutter the list with it. Thank you.

Never, ever send image files to the mailing list. First, *most* of the readers won't be able to view them. Second, many mailers cannot handle large files via email, and you might plug their mailbox, or worse, crash their mailserver. The proper way to distribute images is via WWW or FTP.

Go ahead and post a little introduction. Tell us who you are and what you are about. Read for a few days to see what we are talking about and then jump right in with what you think. Make new friends. Have fun.
