Sounds like there are many of you that disagree with me about The Need sounding like Bratmobile. Maybe I don't have enough of their work to tell. I thought I had a good cross section. I have The Real Janelle, the Kiss and Ride single, and the H2B split with Bratmobile's Cool Schmool. The "Cool Schmool" song is the one I really thought sounded like The Need -- really simple structure and that tinny sort of sound. O.k. so the Thrones was the bearded, hippie-looking guy? That's who I didn't like. I was thinking that was Bangs. > what does janet's regular drum kit look like? or does she have two? > the > one she had at la luna said "sleater-kinney" on it with a yellow and > white > design. when i saw them at bumbershoot, she had one that said "JW". That's a really good question. I was at both Bumbershoot shows. I was also at Sonic Youth and Elliott Smith w/Quasi the Friday night before Bumbershoot. I don't remember at all. TEAM DRESCH: They're playing here in Portland, at Melody Ballroom, on October 15th. Don't too many of you show up, though. I tried to go to on September 5th in Portland and it was sold out! --------------- MESSAGE wordsandguitar.v001.n024.3 --------------- From: Josh.Faught@oberlin.edu Subject: sleater kinney booking...s/k at oberlin.
