  i know its a bit early, but does anyone know how the CMJ KRS showcase is
gonna work in terms of which bands are playing coney island high and which
bands are playing the cyclone room? (i realize its the same place, but i think
its a matter of upstairs and downstairs). i think bonfire madigan is going to
be at the cyclone room, but thats all i know  = )

Hi all,

I just came home from England where I saw Sleater-Kinney in London, Oxford
and Liverpool: I'm exhausted!
I had a great time listening to S-K and meeting other fans. Traveling with
Erik (from Belgium) the firts two days was fun too. Also, meeting the girls
themselves was great; they are so nice! After each show they went into the
audience to talk to everyone. After the final gig I even could make a group
photo; it will appear soon on my site. I just saw that some reviews of the
gigs allready appeared on Jimmy's page and I don't have much to add to that
(I will write someting about the Liverpool gig).

What is the web address for Kill Rock Stars? I had it bookmarked once (the
new updated one) but i lost  it and its totally unfindable...

Bangs: New 7?  I heard they were doing a Mail Order Freaks one, but
someone just mentioned 10-in-1 records or something...enlighten me! and
any info about the CMJ music fest would be nice...

Quasi: They are doing a mail order freaks 7" right???
(Cant wait to see them with Elliott on Oct 3rd)

The Sleater-Kinney roadie practically got BEAT UP by the
club staff in Atlanta last time they were there...and if Chad says
the Bangs show sucked then I bet it did.  

Notice:  Chad asked you about alternative venues...all you need
to do is help him with information and then he'll "support your
scene".

Yeah, the Evening Session was brilliant. The engineer/producer
was Simon Askew- he was excellent.  They recorded Joey Ramone,
Banned From the End of the World, Turn it On, and Words and Guitar.
One More Hour was recorded live.

So far there are no plans to put this session on vinyl/cd, but who knows.

p.s.  CLINIC rocks!  Also, YUMMY FUR played in Scotland and they
are super cool and who can forget the fine, talented, wonderfully funny and
sweet HOLLY GOLIGHTLY who played in Brighton.  Most excellent!
