IT SHOULD BE NOTED THAT THE FAMILY DATA SHOWN HAS BEEN RESEARCHED , MOST BUT NOT ALL VERIFIED, ESPECIALLY BEFORE 1800. I MAKE THE BEST GUESS AT THE CORRECT CONNECTION, AT TIMES WITH THE DATA RECIEVED. THE REASON FOR THIS WEB SITE IS TO COORDINATE THE SEARCH FOR HOLDER FAMILY DATA, PLEASE CHECK THE DATA, AND USE IT AS A GUIDE, IF YOU CAN CONFIRM OR FIND FAULT WITH THE DATA, PLEASE LET ME KNOW , SO WE CAN REBUILD OVER 300 YEARS OF HOLDERS IN AMERICA
Joseph Holder was born in 1727 in Berks County PA, son of John Holder b.1694 in London, England. To the best of our knowledge, he was not yet married in 1749, and did not have a son named John. For more information on Joseph Holder and his brothers George and Charles, who also came to NC and were associated with the Moravian church, see the following web page:
WARNING!!!! I read an LDS report that shows John Holder b. abt 1749 who married Agnes Bledsoe, as being born in Germany the son of Joseph Holder, this is 100% wrong.

Charlotte Smith? Myers, married William Presley Holder in Greenville, Greene Co., TN 8/29/1816, William died in White Pine, Jefferson Co., TN sometime near the end of 1830. Charlotte lived in Hawkins Co. TN in 1840, and in 1842 moved with sons, Eppa S. Holder, Henry Holder, Alexander Elliot Holder, and John Holder to the Black Oak area of Ray Co., MO.
She appears to have moved next door to two sons by a previous marriage, to William B. Myors, who died in Greene Co., TN 1815. The Sons William Myers and Jeremiah Myers, who moved to MO. in 1838 . I know about Eppa Holder's family, my recently found cousin Leslie, who is from the Alexander Elliot Holder line, and I would like to find out what happened to the other three brothers, and the half brothers Myers.
