Oct. 23, 2009- October is almost gone and
November is a busy month for the Sturgis chapter of BFC. Nov. 7 the
Madisonville, KY. chapter is having a ride & chili cook off, we
plan on attending this event. Nov. 8 is a veteran's parade in
Madisonville, there will be several BFC'ers in the parade to honor our
troops, past & present. Nov. 14 is World Diabetes Day Concert
at Webster County High School in Dixon, KY. The concert begins at 12
noon the Sturgis chapter BFC Praise Band will perform at 4 pm. Nov. 21
is the annual Custom Biker Wear Toy Run. Bikes will pull out of the
Morganfield, KY. Wal Mart at 11am to head back toward Custom Biker
Wear. The Sturgis BFC Praise Band will perform that night at
Whispering Meadows Baptist Church in Morganfield, KY. Keep
checking back, we're always planning something to do or attend. God

Oct. 13,
2009- Saturday, Oct. 17 is the monthly meeting for the Sturgis, Ky
Chapter of BFC. We will meet at Dempsey's just outside the Sturgis
Fairgrounds main entrance at 11am. Everyone is invited.
August 27, 2009- BFC Praise Band will be at
Liberty Praise Chapel in Providence, KY. on Saturday, Aug. 29, 2009 for
WWJD Youth Rally. Ride For The Troops is coming up on Saturday, Sept.
19, 2009 at Custom Biker Wear. Please continue to keep Brother
& Sister Cliff & Rosemary Clark in your prayers. The 2010
KY. State Wide BFC Rally is set for Friday thru Sunday, Sept. 10-12,
2010 at Ken Bar Inn, 7711 US Hwy 641 in Gilbertsville, KY. at
Kentucky Lake. If you want to make reservations prior to the 2010

August 2, 2009-Update!!!! We have several
rides and events coming up in the life of BFC Sturgis, KY. chapter. So
I thought I would post the dates here as well as on the calendar.
Saturday, Aug. 8, 2009 monthly meeting for the Sturgis chapter and
others that would like to join us. Meeting is at Dempsey's located just
outside the maun gate of the Sturgis, KY. airport. arrive 11:30 to 12
noon. Saturday August 15, 2009 3rd Annual Ride For Christ Rally at
Victory Church in madiosonville, KY, located on Brown Road registration
begins at 9am. Check out calendar for details. Saturday, Aug 22, 2009
1st Annual Poker Run sponsored by The Ambassadors For Christ to support
the American cancer Society(Relay For Life) located at Roca bar on Hwy
54 in Owensbvoro, KY. details on calendar. Saturday, Sept. 19, 2009
Custom Biker Wear's Annual Ride For The Troops. Leave 1221 Main Street,
Sturgis, KY. at 10am. Friday thru Sunday, Sept. 25-27 Man Trip to the
Dragon. Saturday Oct. 3, 2009, Benefit Ride for the Shelter
Of Love. Registration will be from 10am till 12 noon at Jim's Sport's
Depot located on Hwy 60 in Morganfield, KY.
Aug. 2, 2009-Just when you think you have
things worked out, inevitably, something always happens. We tentatively
set the date for Shelter Of Love Ride for Saturday, Sept. 19, 2009.
That is going to have to change. Saturday, Sept. 19, 2009 is the Annual
Ride For The Troops. That is where we ride to Golconda, IL. for the
Shrimp Fest to raise money for phone cards for the troops. The
following weekend is our "Man Trip" to the Dragon Tail and other places
to be decided. So were thinking about Saturday, Oct. 3, 2009 for the
Shelter Of Love Ride. Stay tuned I'll post it as soon as it' s
set.
July 30, 2009- Well we made it home from
Louisville, KY. Biker Church was awesome, God really blessed and we had
a great time meeting alot of new brothers and sisters. Our next
scheduled event will be Saturday, Aug. 15 at Victory Church in
Madisonville, KY. Our band will be performing and some of the
Louisville, KY. Chapter will be coming down to ride with us. We
have a tentative date set for the ride for Shelter of Love in
Morganfield, KY. for Saturday, Sept. 19, 2009. Plans are still being
made for this ride. Stay safe and come ride with us, we'd love the
fellowship.
July 5, 2009- Everyone made it home safe
from Zanesville, OH's Bikerfest 09. We have 6 pages of pics from the
trip, be sure to check them out. Our next trip is fast approaching, we
will be heading to Louisville, KY. at Southern Hills Nazarene Church
for Biker Church on Saturday, July 25. Our Chapter's praise band will
perform and Dennis Mosby from the Madisonville, KY. Chapter will be
bringing the message. Little Sturgis Rally will be here in 2 weeks so
be prayed up and be a witness for Jesus Christ. We are also in
the planning stages for a fall charity ride for a local charity, The
Shelter of Love, a center for pregnant teens. Date for the ride has not
been set yet but will be around the third or forth weekend in
September. Check the calendar for the date. We will post it as soon as
it is set. Please keep the 2010 State Wide Rally in your prayers as we
begin the planning for this event. It will take place at the beautiul
KY. Lake area at Ken Bar Inn, details to come.
May 27, 2009-Bike is in the shop this week
for tune up. Hope to have it out by the weekend. There's a ride this
Saturday, the 30th in Providence, KY. Don't have any details just seen
the flier at the bike shop today thought I would post it here. Some of
us are thinking about a trip to Mammoth Cave this Saturday, if I get my
bike back. Once we return from our trip to Zanesville, OH we will begin
plans for a toy drive sponsored by Jim's Sports Depot located on Hwy 60
in Morganfield, KY. the ride will probably be held sometime in late
August or early September. Also need to mention the Little
Sturgis Rally will be here in July. So many opportunities to share the
Good News, please be in prayer for this event. It's not every day so
many people gather together in our area that need to hear the gospel,
it will be a great time to witness the Love of Jesus to others bikers.

May 10, 2009-Praise the Lord for His
goodness and some great weather this weekend. The Benefit Ride for
Ben's Place was a huge success with 22 bikes and 31 riders we raised
$832.00 for Ben's Place. Our next trip will be June 12 as we head
for Zanesville, OH. for Bikerfest 09. Come join us.
May 2, 2009-The Benefit Ride for Ben's
Place is in one week. We have a lot of great door prizes for the
riders. Cash prize, gift cards from Jim's Sport depot, Wal Mart, Custom
Biker Wear, Gift certificate from Deb & Jen's Diner, Gift
Certificate from The Feed Mill, A pair of Brahma boots, one set
of ISO foot pegs, Winter riding gloves, and more. Please pray for
the weather to coorporate for the ride. Registration will be from 10 am
till 12 noon.
April
18,2009- things are coming together for Benefit Ride on Saturday, May
9, 2009. Be sure to arrive early to register. Next Sunday, April
26, some of us will be headed to Bald Knob Cross near Alto Pass, IL.
for the 18th annual Blessing of the Bikes. It a little over 90
miles from Sturgis. Come join us for the ride. We've had more
door prizes donated for the ride on May 9, more info to come. Check
back.
Mar. 28,2009-Great news, Praise the
Lord! We've been blessed with a donation for our ride on May 9, 2009
which will allow us to purchase enough food to supply the event so the
food will be included with the ride free of charge. We're in the
process of contacting local businesses for door prizes. We already have
2 commitments from Wal-Mart and Jim's Sports Depot. We'll be visiting
more businesses next week to collect more prizes for the event. The day
will Be filled with exciting things for the whole day starting with the
benefit ride for Ben's Place, An adult Day health Care Center, followed
by music by the BFC band(Rick Wilson, Jeff Travis, Sonny Garrett of the
Sturgis, KY. chapter along with 2 other men making up the band, free
food, a presentation about Ben's Place from Betty Brady, and special
speaker, Dennis Mosby, followed by the announcement of the big winner
of the ride and several door prizes. Don't miss this opportunity to be
a blessing to the community.
Mar. 22,2009- Sorry for not
updating until now. I've been working on a new web site for a client.
Anyway we held our March Meeting yesterday at Road Side Diner in
Sturgis, KY. with a total of 9 present. Had a great meeting. We've made
contact with someone to supply our drinks for the Bike Church and we're
in the process of finding a food vendor to set up for the day of the
ride & church. Thinking about traveling next month instead of
monthly meeting to go to a bike rally in Illinois to support fellow
bikers there. More to come on that later. We're in the process of
adding a new member to the chapter. Please be sure to spread the word
about the Benefit Ride May 9. God Bless, see you on the road.
Mar. 12, 2009- Our March monthly meeting is
scheduled for Sat. Mar. 21 a place has not been set yet. There is a
poker run scheduled for Sat. Mar. 28 in Clay, KY. Check out the
calendar for more details. It's not to late to get signed up for the
Bikerfest, we'll be pulling out on Friday, June 12 to head to
Louisville, KY. to meet up with the group we'll be riding to Zanesville
with on Sat. morning. Contact me if you plan on attending.
Jan. 21, 2009- I've found a server to run our calendar. You can find a link to it on the main page just click on the calendar link and it will take you to the page. It's not on our web site so you'll have to use the back button to return to our page once you go to the calendar. Also be sure to check out the daily bible verse located at the bottom of the main page.
Jan. 12, 2009= I've been having trouble logging into my calendar page to update it so until I can work that problem out I'll be posting all calendar events here on the ahead page. I'll go ahead and say that we have booked rooms for the Bikerfest 09 in Zanesville, OH. for June 12-15, 2009. We are planning for a local bike night in Morganfield this spring, also we have a few charity rides to plan for this year. More details to come.
Jan. 2. 2009- The monthly meeting of the Sturgis, KY chapter of BFC, Saturday, Jan. 17, 2009, will meet at Sister's Cafe in downtown Providence. We'll meet at the cafe at 8:30am for breakfast.
Dec. 31, 2008- Last update this year, LOL. The Sturgis, KY. chapter we hold its first monthly meeting on Saturday, Jan. 17th, 2009 to make plans for the 2009 riding season. We have several rides, trips, charities to plan for as well as a local bike night. Stay tuned.
Dec. 8, 2008- The Sturgis, KY. chapter will begin monthly meetings for chapter planning for the 2009 riding year in Jan. 2009. Date will be posted soon. Plans include a local bike night here in Union County. We will be hosting rides in 09 as well. All rides will be posted on the calendar and here on the What's Ahead page as soon as the dates are set. Sept. 17, 2008-Saturday, Sept. 20 will be "The Day of Refreshing" at Custom Biker Wear in Sturgis, KY. The Sturgis chapter of BFC will be passing out free water to the bikers along with bibles and tracks. It is also the annual Ride For The Troops, which goes to raise money for phone cards for our troops. Come out and be refreshed.
July 28, 2008-Praise the Lord! I'm home. After 24 days in the hospital, I was released to come home. We are getting ready for the Aug. 9, 2008 Union County Youth Expo with G.O.D. Ministries at Moffit Lake located off hwy 141 in Union County. BFC will be there with their bikes, bibles, tracks & other christian material.
June 11, 2008-So much going on right now. We're in the process of starting a BFC chapter right here in Sturgis, KY. We're also planning for up coming events. August 9, 2008 we will be set up at God's Outdoors Disciples Ministries Union County Youth Expo at beautiful Moffit Lake outside of Morganfield, KY. off Hwy 141. We'll be set up for the kids to look at the bikes and also passing out christian tracks and other related materials. Byron Tabor of Dominion and On Target for Christ will be the guest speaker also several events planned for the kids like rifle range, fishing, Turkey calling contest, fishing & hunting simulators and much more. We are also planning a "Day of Refreshing" were we will be handing out free water and tracks to bikers at the Custom Biker Wear shop on Main Street in Sturgis, KY. The date has not been set yet for this event but will be posted as soon as we have a date.
May 23, 2008-Sorry for taking so long to update but it's riding season. We attended the 3rd annual Run For Hope in Paducah, KY. on May 10. Had a great time and had some great fellowship with the Paducah chapter of BFC. Still gearing up for Colors For The Cross in Dothan, AL on Labor day weekend. Stay tuned for more updates & rides as I get them.
Mar. 25, 2008-The
2008 BFC Bike Blessing was a success in spite of the very cool weather.
We had around 20 bikes and several more people than that to bless,
fellowship
with, and take a short ride with. Thanks again to Bro. Phil and the
rest
from Paducah, KY. for coming so far to be a part of the event. Also
thanks
to Jeff Travis & Rick Byrd for coming down from Madisonville, KY.
and
all the local bikers that weathered the cool temperatures to share with
us.
Mar. 20, 2008-Praise the Lord!!!! I brought my new 1999 Harley Softail Standard home today. Man does it feel good to be cruising the road ways on my own hog, LOL Anyway just want to give God praise for blessing me today. I'll try to post some pics of my new bike soon.
Mar. 18, 2008- Lots of new events added to the calendar, be sure to check them out. I hope to be posting some pics of the bike blessing coming this weekend.
Feb. 27, 2008- Please be sure and check out the calendar for new events coming up soon. March 22, 2008 will be our first Blessing of the Bikes, details on the calendar. Also May 3, 2008 is the Run For the Son at Bud's Harly Davidson in Evansville, IN.
Jan. 20, 2008-Saturday, Feb. 9, 2008 @ 6:00pm at Grace Fellowship Church Annex building will be the annual Wild Game Banquet for God's Outdoors Disciples Ministry and the first meeting of Camo Church. Myself along with some of my very good friends will be doing the music for this service. Come out for some great food, great music, great fellowship, and a great word of the Lord.
Jan. 6, 2008- There will be a bike show on Saturday, Jan. 19th at the Executive Inn in Owensboro, KY. Some of us will be riding up for the show, weather permitting.
Dec. 14, 2007- Praise the Lord! I'm back on my feet, I got my bike out of the shop and hope to put up some new pics soon. The foot continues to heal up nicely, and I'm walking every day. Thanks so much to every one for your prayers, I can't say it enough how much your prayers brought me through this past year and all the trials Angie & I have been through. God Bless you all.
Sept. 19, 2007-Wow it's been over a month since the last update. Sorry guys but I've been back in the hospital again. The doctor had to amputate my toes on my left foot. I went in the hospital on Aug. 31 and came home on Sept. 14. I've still got about 6 weeks of not putting any weight on the foot while it heals up. But on to more fun stuff, I've added some more pics to myspace page, so be sure to check those out.
Aug. 17, 2007-Well it's that time of year again!!!!!!! The Ride For The Troops will take place on Saturday, Sept. 15, 2007. All Bikes will be pulling out of Custom Biker Wear @ 10:00am. Check out the calendar for more details.
Aug. 3, 2007-Time
for an update. Sorry I haven't been able to fill every one in on what's
been happening here on the site. I've been in the hospital from June 28
until finally being released on Monday, July 30 so it's nice to be back
at home, Praise God. Thanks to every one for praying for my healing
&
recovery. I ask that you keep me in your prayers as I still have a ways
to go for total recovery but God is faithful.I've had a diabetic ulcer
on my foot since the first of April and now after three debreedments, 1
arterialgram, an angioplasty, & finally a skin graph the wound is
healing
up nicely. I'm hoping to be back on my bike very, very soon. Thanks
again
for all your prayers. Stay tune for future updates with the ministry
and
what we will be doing next. God Bless.

April 20, 2007-Riding season is definitely under way, Praise God for the awesome weather were having. I've sent in application on four(4) new members for Bikers For Christ. We're celebrating the new members with a bike run for the Bluegrass Buddies Program, a division of G.O.D. Ministry. Monies raised will go to help fund the summer youth camp for this program. Come out and be a part of a great work God is doing for the youth of Union County. The ride will be May 19, 2007 starting at Custom Biker Wear in Sturgis, KY. 9:00 am. Food, music & money, & door prizes.
Mar. 11, 2007-Riding season is here so we'll be planning some very specials rides this spring, also I'm going to be traveling via my motorcycle to some of G.O.D. Ministries outings this year to help were needed. Looking forward to seeing those young people enjoy the event and believing that for some, they will come to know the Lord as Saviour.
Jan. 30, 2007-Still looking for an opportunity to play music and minister. Getting my bike ready for another year of riding and sharing the Good news. Always looking for fellow bikers to ride. Getting prayed up for another Rally. Please continue to keep us in your prayers, that God will use us to reach the lost.
Jan. 2, 2007-Praise the Lord for the new year and what it holds. Hope everyone had a blessed and very merry Christmas. I'm still planning on getting the music ministry up and going soon, stay tuned for details. Looking forward to a great riding season and sharing the Good News with my fellow bikers. God has been so good this past year and I just want to give Him praise for all the blessings in my life. My wife, Angie, Our home, a new music ministry, my church and every one we were able to share with this past year. Keep us in your prayers for 07. God Bless.
Dec. 7, 2006- The Custom Biker Wear Annual Toy Run was a huge success. A large number of toys were donated along with a substantial monetary donation which enable CBW to purchase several presents for local families in the area. Some of the local bikers participated in the annual Sturgis Christmas Parade. I'm excited about possibly beginning a new music ministry, more details to come later. I've recently started a page on myspace with some of my music as not to take up space on this web site. You can check out that page HERE.
Oct. 22, 2006- Time for some news, tomorrow, Monday, Oct. 23rd I'll be going to the local middle school with some fellow bikers to visit with the top readers of the past nine weeks to encourage them to continue with their great work & give them a chance to look at the bikes, also on Nov. 2, 2006 will be a very early call as I'll be assisting with cooking breakfast for the local deer hunters in the area as G.O.D. Ministries offers a free breakfast for the hunters. And finally on Nov. 18 will be the annual Custom Biker Wear Toy Run to collect gifts and raise money for needy kids this Christmas.
Sept. 14, 2006-The Praise & Worship band that I'm in, Ezekiel"s Call will be performing Oct. 2nd & 3rd at The New Beginnings Church located at 259 N. Padgett in Morganfield, KY. The band will be doing the praise & worship service on the 2nd & 3rd for the revival thats being held from Sept. 28 through Oct. 4th.
Sept. 10, 2006- Well I'm still riding solo as a BFC member in the area but God is still moving. Sept. 16 will be the annual Ride for the Troops here locally. We will have several bikers taking the ride with us this year to raise money to buy phone cards for our enlisted friends & family members. Please come out and support the great cause. Meeting between 9:00am & 10:00am at Custom Biker Wear in Sturgis, KY.
July 5, 2006- Little Sturgis Rally is approaching. There will be several thousands of bikers here in the area. We're hoping to be a witness to as many as possible. Pray during the Rally, July 13-16, for God to move in these bikers lives and thru His people to witness the love of Jesus to them.
June 5, 2006- It's now official, I have become a member of Bikers for Christ. Over the next several days and weeks I'll be changing the web site over to more of a biker ministry page rather than what was previously here. The web site will also take on a new name and address which I hope to get linked to all the sites I previously was linked to so you'll still be able to find us. I'll be posting rides & events in the future so stay tuned and keep us in your prayers. God Bless.
April 24, 2006- The ride was great despite the fact that we got lost 4 seperate times. There was approximately 100 bikes there for the ride. All in all with the trip down, the ride, & the trip home we logged in over 300 miles Saturday, 15th. I got to talk with BFC elder Shaun Causey and got my application for membership. The process will take about 4 weeks to complete. I'll be posting an update once I get it. This web page will most likely be devoted to that ministry so I'll be making changes to the web site in the future.
Mar. 30, 2006- Most everyone has already heard that I have left my position with One Way. I'll continue to manage the web site for the band. Right now I'm focusing on my bike ministry. I'll be traveling with G.O.D. Ministry this spring and summer sharing about the biker ministry and the word of God. I'm also going April 15 to Mayfield, KY. to meet up with BFC of Western KY.(Bikers for Christ), to go on a MS Walk ride to raise money for the MS walk, and also to see about joining BFC.
Jan. 9, 2006- Happy New Year! Well things are going great with the band. We just did our first concert of the year with G.O.D. Ministry and there were 7 decisions made for the Lord at that event. I'm still studying about the motorcycle ministry thing, so nothing new there yet. Be sure and check out the band's web site. I'm working on uploading some songs from our demo to the site but it's going to take some time. Keep checking back things will pick up around here soon. God Bless and be safe.
Nov. 16, 2005-Hope every one is thinking of things you should be thankful for. Thanksgiving is almost here. I have so much to thank God for. I unfortunately didn't get to meet up with the guys from BFC in August. Maybe some day, I've been thinking seriously about starting my own christian bike ministry here locally but I'll let you know what happens there. I know there's not much on this site that's new but I'm waiting to see what God leads me to do with this space. I'm hoping to share more about the motorcycle ministry once it begins. For now I'm happy to share my faith with the local bikers and any one else who'll give me the opportunity. More to come, I promise!
Aug. 31, 2005-O.K. time for some more info. I'm finally going to meet some of the guys from Bikers For Christ this weekend, Praise the Lord! We now have entries on the One Way guest book, thanks so much. More to come. Stay tuned.
June 26, 2005- Way past time for an update, I've been spending most of my time working on the new One Way web site. I did put up some new old shots from the past on my pic page. I haven't been able to hook up with Bikers for Christ yet but I'm still looking for an opportunity to do so. Hopefully when that begins I'll be spending a lot of time putting up things pertaining to the motorcycle ministry on this web site. Keep checking back and be sure to go to One-wayband.com and sign our guest book, we're still looking for the first entry into the guest book.
Mar. 29, 2005- Things are going great with the band and the new web site. I'm still working on the site but it's getting better day-by-day. Stop by www.one-wayband.com and check out the site. I'm really excited about what God is doing both with the group and in my own personal life. God is opening up new doors for our ministry and giving me an opportunity to explore some new areas of ministry as well. In May I'll be travelling to St. Louis with the B.F.C. (Bikers for Christ) for a blessing of the bikes and a charity run. Please continue to pray for our ministry and for God to continue using us as He wills.
Feb. 25, 2005-One Way's demo CD is done. They're available at our concerts or you can contact me at 270-333-6887. Check out the concert page for all our dates.
Jan. 16, 2005- One Way is in the process of producing a demo CD. Were working hard to complete this project quickly. Also We'll be playing at Grace Fellowship Church on Sunday Jan. 30 for the 6:00 pm service. We invite everyone to come out and worship with us.
Dec. 30, 2004- One Way will be performing at Northside Baptist Church in Morganfield, KY. on Friday, Dec. 31st, 2004 @ 9:00p.m. Come out and bring in the new year with us!
Dec. 8, 2004- OK here's the latest, I'm going to be playing bass for the local christian group, One Way. More on this later. I've been looking into Bikers for Christ out of Louisville and the possibility of starting a chapter in this area but nothing has been done on this development yet. Stay Tuned.
Sept. 10. 2004- Everything is still going good with the youth group and with First Baptist Church, Angie & I are now exploring a new area of ministry. I've including the pic below to illustrate.
We're looking to
get involved in biker ministry. Details of which organization coming
later.
