Minutes for the Village of Beverly Special Council Meeting

Held May 24, 2006

 

             A special meeting of the Village of Beverly Council was held Wednesday May 24, 2006 at 6:30 P.M. with Mayor Clem Biedenbach presiding. Members Dave Price, Laura Adams, Stacey Brooks, Arlene Pennock, Amista Lipot, and Mary Ann Pennock answered to roll call. Fiscal Officer Larry Kitts was also present. The purpose of the meeting was to pass swimming pool legislation.

             Discussion was held regarding installation of the larger slide alternative. Arlene Pennock voiced her concerns regarding having no contingency if approved.

             Discussion was also held regarding the approved fence alternative. The fence will be replaced according to contract, but if a new fence is not installed per approved alternative, the larger slide would be feasible.

             Adams moved to rescind approval of the fence alternative; Brooks seconded the motion and all answered yes to roll call (6-0); motion passed.

Adams moved to approve a change order for the larger slide; Brooks seconded the motion and all answered yes to roll call (6-0); motion passed.    

Brooks moved to suspend the rules and read resolution 06-4 a RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE THE MAYOR AND FISCAL OFFICER TO ENTER IN TO CONTRACTS FOR RENOVATION OF THE COMMUNITY POOL by title only; Adams seconded the motion and all answered yes to roll call (6-0). Brooks moved to approve Resolution 06-4; Adams seconded the motion and all answered yes to roll call (6-0); resolution approved.

             With no further business to come before Council the meeting was adjourned.
