RECORD OF ORDINANCES

 Ordinance No. 06-7 - Passed March 8, 2006

 

AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE TO DECLARE EXCESS PROPERTY, AND TO AUTHORIZE THE CLERK TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS AND TO ALLOW THE SALE OF SAID PROPERTY

 

WHEREAS, the Council of The Village of Beverly has real property located at 204 Fifth Street within the village and no longer desires to own or maintain said property, and

 

WHEREAS, The Village has determined said property to be excess property and desires to authorize the Clerk to advertise for bids in order to allow for the sale of said property,

 

BE IT NOW THEREFORE ORDAINED by the Council of the Village of Beverly, County of Washington, State of Ohio, as follows:

            

             SECTION 1: That the Council of the Village of Beverly declares the real property located at 204 Fifth Street to be excess property and directs the Clerk to advertise for bids for the sale of this property in accordance with law.

            

             SECTION 2: When an acceptable bid is accepted by The Council of the Village of Beverly, Council authorizes the Mayor and Clerk to enter into contract to sell said property.

            

             SECTION 3: An emergency exists affecting the public health, safety and general welfare of the citizens of the Village of Beverly, and this Ordinance shall take affect and be in force immediately upon passage.
