RECORD OF ORDINANCES

 Ordinance No. 06-4 - Passed January 12, 2005

 

AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE TO AUTHORIZE THE CLERK AND MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH JACKSON TOWNSHIP TO PROVIDE FIRE PROTECTION FOR FOR THE RESIDENTS WHO LIVE ON THE “984” BEVERLY TELEPHONE EXCHANGE IN JACKSON TOWNSHIP

 

 

             WHEREAS,    The Village of Beverly has provided fire protection for Jackson Township;

 and

 

             WHEREAS,    The Village wishes to continue fire protection pursuant to the provisions

of the Revised Code to the “984” Beverly exchange of Jackson Township and Jackson

Township wishes to reimburse the Village of said services; and

 

             NOW THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Council of the Village of Beverly, County of Washington, State of Ohio, as follows:

 

             SECTION I:    That the Clerk and Mayor be authorized to enter into an agreement with Jackson Township Trustees for fire protection.

 

             SECTION II: The Village of Beverly further agrees to allow the Beverly Volunteer Fire Department to respond with the Beverly-Waterford Emergency squad when requested by the Beverly-Waterford Emergency squad.

 

             SECTION III: That an emergency exists effecting the public health, safety and              general welfare of the citizens of the Village of Beverly, and that this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force immediately upon passage.
