FROM the EAST in MAY
May 1, 2008
Brethren:
It has been one month since our annual inspection. I have received the report from our Inspecting Officer, RWB Don Butream. Please attend our stated meeting on May 13, as his comments will be read at that meeting and made part of our minutes.
Our officers all worked so hard in preparation for that evening and it paid off. Each and every officer had prepared himself and needs to be proud of the degree of proficiency we were able to accomplish as a group. What a privilege and honor to be able to be inspected with our Grand Master, Most Worshipful Ronald L. Winnett present. He, as always, had a few comments and congratulated the officers of Negley Lodge.
On Saturday, April 26, seventeen brethren and ladies attended the Grand Master’s Reception at Mr. Anthony’s in Boardman. The food was wonderful and the companionship even better. Favorable comments were heard from many of the Grand Lodge Officers and Ladies.
On May 27, we will be conferring the Master Mason Degree on one candidate. Please attend and support your Lodge.
As we look ahead, Negley has scheduled an outdoor Master Mason Degree on Labor Day, which will be September 1, 2008. We will need to be at our best ritualistically since quite a few brethren from throughout the district have expressed interest in attending.
Please review our Trestle Board. Support the events which our Lodge has planned.
Thank you each and every one for allowing me to be Master of Negley Lodge this year. It has been a tremendous experience.
Remember-Tuesday is Lodge Night ____ ____ ____ ____ ____.
Fraternally,
Dave
