Apologies to Mike D

Actually very little about Mike can be considered "Country," but if you dance around to a song in a memorable way you end up with a nickname.

I've known CM since I was eight years old. Even though I abused him for the first ten years of our friendship he has always been my best friend, the person I could lean on when life was rough. We have always been opposites in a lot of ways. He's not much of Ranter, he's too reasonable and empathic. He's also very calm and deliberate, most of the time. CM is brilliant musician and is now dedicating himself to bringing music to kids in the inner city.

Country Mike recently married his high school sweet heart, S. Doily. That's pretty Country.

DMJ

DMJ is a journalist and sometime novelist. He is a barroom philosopher and coffee shop pundit. He is also a known Ranter, who poses the two qualities need for a good Rant: he's educated, well read (he's the only person I know who reads the whole newspaper, everyday), and almost totally irrational once he makes up his mind about something. D has been one of my closest friends and confidants over the past six years. His writing has appeared in local papers and he will soon have a degree in journalism with which he can get on the bus, provided he also has $1.25 with him at the time.

He is also fiercely loyal to his friends. If he were a Godfather charater he'd be a cross between Tom Hagen and Luca Brasi.

Must...not...start...dancing...

Affy (AKA Joe Poet, AKA Pierre) is one of the funniest people I have ever met. Affy is a playwrite and a poet, and has been known to go off on a Rant now and again. Affy is also Elaine Bennes' dance coach. He recently opened the Chris Farley Memiorial Big Man Instructional Dance Studio in SF. In fact Affy is such a good dancer that upon meeting his future wife she asked, "But aren't you gay?"


Affy is also one of the most plagiarized author's of the past decade. Though he has published little, his ideas and writings keep appearing on other people's coffe mugs.


Affy is the husband of KatESPN, the brand new father of perplexingly Chinese looking baby, and the brother of Temptation Jules.

Delver is the genius behind the now defucnt copasetic.com. Delver sees all and hears all, and when you can get him to talk he's one the most interesting people around. I think the fact that he doesn't say much (unlike myself) gives his words more weight when he chooses to release them.

Hopefully he will agree to resume his "Daily Delver" column for us in some form or another. The tres-deuce is in the house!
