CURRENT

I wrote nine episodes of the new animated show called Viva Pinata which airs on Saturday mornings on the 4Kids/Fox block. If you want to find out more about the show check out the website VIVA PINATA. My favorite character is Fergy the Fudgehog.

You may have seen television commercials for Kidzbop. They're those CDs where kids sing popular hit songs (with the help of some guest adults). If you go to the KIDZBOP website you can watch 11 webisodes that I wrote as they roll out. Follow the adventures of Amelia and her band as they seek fame and fortune—and if her sidekick Lucas has anything to say about it, matching outfits.

I recently did all the illustrations for Mitch Friedman's new CD "Purple Burt". I also sing on a few songs, appearing as Do-Re-Mimi. And I had the idea for the google eyes on the cover! Learn more about "Purple Burt" by clicking HERE and please consider buying a copy for a kid you know (or for yourself!)

Watch for my episode of Backyardigans, on Nick Jr. It's about a band of animal friends who go on fantasy adventures and sing and dance along the way. Lots of great people worked on the first season of the show: The music is by Evan Lurie and the first season head writer was McPaul Smith (who is not only a witty scribe, but also a member of the exquisitely quirky jug band Washboard Jungle).  My episode is called "Cave Party" and it takes place in the Ice Age.

I also did a series of illustrations for my copywriter friend Cheryl Horsfall. To see them, go to Buxbaum Ads.  I guess the company helps you make money in some way. I know that Cheryl  will help you make money if your business happens to need a copywriter!

WRITE NOW!

Danny Fingeroth was kind enough to interview me for the second issue of WRITE NOW! 17 pages of opinions and insight into the twists and turns of my career. Lots of info for Daria and MTV Downtown fans. You can order it from TwoMorrows Publishing.

OLD IS NEW AGAIN

Talk about "repurposing"! If you go to THE NICK.COM JUKEBOX you can listen to "Oh Ma, I Gotta Pee" and "Oh, My Backseat" from the 1994 cassette-only release "Songs From the Backseat". I wrote the lyrics and the Late Great Tom Pomposello did a fabulous job with the musical arrangements. While you're there, you can also listen to the classic Brady Bunch hit "Time to Change" and hear Peter's voice crack once more time!
