There are always far more companies seeking a Venture Capital Private Placement than investors willing to risk their money. For this reason, we suspect that over 98% of the visitors to our website are Chief Financial Officers seeking investors for their business plans.

Venture Capital Profits

GVIC members only fund the initial phase of the Venture Capital Profits strategy. If you have an operating company seeking to become a multinational corporation, we want to fund your company. You should submit your Executive Summary to the Beowulf Investments Website. You’d be wise to order and read a copy of Venture Capital Profits, before you submit your Executive Summary.

Traditional Venture Capital Funding

Some private companies shouldn't go public. They won't attract national investor support for their shares. Yet, these companies may offer an exceptional investment opportunity. This investment axiom would be true of local companies seeking equity financing for expansion. For instance, a Maui tourist hotel could double its income, if it had an investor willing to pay for a remodel and quadruple its value in the process. A New Zealand Dairy Plant could substantially increase its revenues with modern equipment. A food processing plant in China could easily sell twice its current production by expanding its manufacturing capacity. There are hundreds of examples of local businesses that could profitably use a million or more dollars from a Venture Capitalist or Angel Investor. These are businesses where the risk of failure is small and the potential reward in a few years is multifold.

Most startup and early stage companies are extremely high-risk gambles. The odds of their success are slim. A few startup companies offer reasonable risk/reward odds for the private company investor. Few of these companies will be funded because a Venture Capitalist Firm's reviewers will read little more than the first paragraph of their Executive Summary. Studies show that less than one U.S. Company, seeking Venture Capital funding, out of over ten thousand is funded by American Venture Capitalists today. We suspect that over 80% of the rejected business plans weren't read, beyond the first page of their Executive Summary.
Basic Private Investment Requirements

Since the DotCom Bubble burst, Venture Capitalists and Angel Investors have a new Prime Directive. It's CASHFLOW NOW. The corollary is the investment must result, within a few years, in a private company worth a multiple of its present value.

To get your business plan reviewed beyond the first page, it must be extremely well written. If the Executive Summary doesn't grab the potential investor, your business plan won't be read. If your business plan isn't very credible, your company won't be funded.

People invest in people. They don't invest in business plans. If you are among the fortunate few that gets past the Venture Capitalist's business plan review hurdle, your funding will depend upon the investor's opinion of you and no more than one member of your management team at a face-to-face meeting. The first meeting will be held at a place and time of the investors choosing. If you get past the initial meeting and the Venture Capitalist is interested in your business plan, the second meeting is usually held at your plant or office.

Mr. Cate works with a few Venture Capitalists, helping them take their successful clients public. He knows assorted other Venture Capitalists and their investment criteria. He can get these contacts to read a well-written business plan. He’s willing to review your Executive Summary free. He'll assume its quality reflects that of your business plan. If your proposal meets the investment needs of any of his VC contacts, he'll review your well-written business plan free. If he’s convinced that you have a reasonable chance of a meeting with the Venture Capitalist, he'll forward your business plan to his investor contact without charge. All that he can guarantee is that your business plan will be read in its entirety. If the investor meets with you and they decide to fund your company, he’ll be paid for his help from the proceeds of your funding.
