Monday Workshop

"How to Write a Business Plan that North American Investors Will Fund"
Venture Capitalists reject ten thousand business plans for everyone that they fund. To get your company funded, you must have a business plan that tells the investors what they want to hear. Your business plan must be factual, concise and meet the needs of the investor. Above all else, your claims must be true. If your company wants to be funded by Beowulf Investments and the Global Village Investment Club, you must attend this Workshop. We require a business plan that uses our template.

The Workshop is a detailed explanation of the Beowulf/GVIC Business Plan Template. Upon registration, you will receive a copy of this thirty-three-page template and information on the tools used to evaluate financial statements that are a part of any business plan. If your company accurately completes our business plan template and you are seeking between US$500,000 and US$3,000,000, Beowulf Investments and the Global Village Investment Club want to fund your company.

Tuesday Workshop
"The Merchant Banking Investment Model"
Venture Capitalists expect control of your company for their money. Merchant bankers are willing to accept a minority position in your company for their money. Both funding sources are willing to risk about the same amount of money on their initial investments. The odds of your company being funded by a merchant bank are far greater than the odds of your company being funded by a Venture Capital Firm. The reason is most CFOs believe the myths about Venture Capital Firms.

This workshop explains the Merchant Banking Investment Model (MBIM) in the context of the policies and practices of the Global Village Investment Club [http://home.earthlink.net/~beowulfinvestments/globalvillageinvestmentclubwelcome/] and Beowulf Investments [http://home.earthlink.net/~beowulfinvestments/]. If you come to understand how we apply the Merchant Banking Investment Model, you will understand how all merchant banks fund their clients. You’ll come to realize why it is easier to raise money from merchant banks than venture capitalists.

Who Should Attend
1. CEOs and CFOs of operating companies seeking equity investment in their companies.
2. Venture Capitalists and investors seeking a lower risk investment model with higher short term returns and more relevant information about the business operation of prospective clients.

The Workshop Moderator
William Cate is the Executive Director of the Global Village Investment Club and the Managing Director of Beowulf Investments. He has over two decades of experience in equity finance. He is the author of over 1,000 articles on business investment of which 160 can be found at [http://www.GoArticles.com]. In Malaysia, he’s lectured at Universiti Tenaga Nasional. In Canada, he has lectured at the University of British Columbia. Workshops
Globalize to Survive: Where individual rights exist, they have been in decline for the past fifty years. Relying on any Government to protect its citizens from the excesses of that Government is a costly mistake. The greatest freedom exists in the Global Village. However, it can be a risky place in which to operate. This Workshop explores the imperative for individuals and companies to find tax salvation by changing their citizenship or corporate jurisdiction and to spread their financial risk by making money in several countries. There’s a new phase that participants learn to use in making business and financial decisions.
