Bell 3346 matches the cluster for Robert Bell b. 1513.

1 June 2009

A descendant of Petersen C. Beall has joined the project, with some surprise results. Beall 434 was believed to be related to the St. Andrews Beall group (in Beal Surname DNA Project), but his Y-DNA results match the cluster for Alexander Bell b. Feb 1848.

Many in this cluster have a null value at DYS439, due to the presence of an SNP marker. EthnoAncestry has identified the SNP marker associated with the null 439 phenomenom, and labelled it S26. The haplogroup designation for these people should be R1b1b2g3. FTDNA customers who get a null 439 value should consider it like having a bonus SNP test.

As pointed out by a member of the Vaughn DNA Project, Bell participants in the cluster for Robert Bell b. Feb 1513 have many close matches with the Vaughn surname. He believes that their common ancestor is from Wales. Compare the numbers.
