The City's Preservation Program , established in 1989, encourages property owners of historically significant structures to voluntarily apply for local landmark status. Currently, 35 individual properties and 16 properties located in two separate districts have been designated as local historic landmarks. A number of financial Incentives are available to the owners of landmark properties. For more information about the program please contact the Planning Division at 310/318-0637.

Looking for historically significant buildings, landmarked or not?  The rating system used in both the 1986 and 1996 Redondo Beach Surveys uses rankings of "A", "B", "C", and "D", with "A" being the most significant.  Lists of "A" Rated and "B" Rated Redondo Beach structures are now available online.

Use the North Redondo Beach map (400KB) and South Redondo Beach map (745KB), which identify Redondo Beach City, California, and National landmarks by street location!   These are large files, please be patient while downloading.

RB Landmark 8, Sale House The Historic Resources Register [62KB] includes a combined list of all properties designated as local landmarks, and/or listed in the National Register or California Register. For quick access, there are four other tables with separate listing of:
