It was Sunday, and I decided that I needed to purchase a latex vagina. I've seen some compelling replicas, supposedly cast directly from the bodies of famous porn stars. (Well, at least the surface features.) But the store I went to stocked only a generic version of questionable authenticity. The hair was particularly crude -- as if someone had haphazardly rimmed the vortex with a glue stick and sprinkled some synthetic fibers over the area. But I was most disturbed by not knowing who this item was intended to represent. It could have been almost anyone. (Examining the product through its shrink-wrap, I noticed rows of protrusions on the inside, apparently designed to provide some sort of stimulation.) I returned the item to its place on the pegboard, in front of two other identical copies. Somehow, it didn't seem very clean.
