The dates and places of births, marriages and deaths are important as it will aid in matching lineage after the testing phase. It also may help in establishing migration patterns for your surname. You may include earlier unproven lineage for possible help in making matches. You can complete your Descendancy Chart and provide it to me, by e-mail, for this Y-chromosome DNA project on male direct ancestry of a living participant of the same or similar surname. Provide what you know of your ancestry -- THE REQUIREMENT FOR AT LEAST 5 GENERATIONS OF ANCESTRY HAS BEEN ELIMINATED.
