All participants are assigned a privacy code, which is used to identify their test results. If you provided a signed release statement with your DNA sample, your test results will be available to the project administrators, and will be posted on our website. Each participant will also receive their individual results from the testing agency.
Participants are asked to submit their paternal ancestry, from which we will extract a migration pattern. This pattern will be posted online with an earliest known ancestor, to assist with our analysis. None of our participants' names, postal addresses, email address, or other contact information will be shared or posted online without their permission. Any persons desiring to contact one of our participants -- regarding DNA test results, or ancestry -- must go through a project administrator, unless the participant of interest has requested that his email contact be posted online.
Administrators for the Beal Surname DNA Project are volunteers. We do not set prices, or handle any billing issues. We do not receive payments, bonuses, commissions, or any other financial rewards for our work in the project.
