DAMASK EVENING BAG . I came across these old Damask table napkins and became intriqued with their beauty. While not wanting to put them in a closet to remain unused for another 50 or 60 years, I made them into this Evening Bag. I hand painted and hand beaded the surface, high-lighting areas with seed beading and lined it in gold Satin. I used a sewing machine in the construction and finished it by hand. The purse opens almost to a circle and has a cord to pull it closed with beaded tassle ends. The top edge is beaded all around. ~ Dimensions: Approximately 6 x 4.5 inches, closed. Colors: Pale beige "tea dyed" Damask & cord; greens, tans, mauves, golds
