| JOANNA SCHIELE |
A native New Yorker, Joanna grew up in lower Manhattan into a family of music lovers. Thanks to two older brothers, Joanna
saw her first rock concert at the age of 9 and started going to nightclubs like CBGBs and Maxs Kansas City at 13.
Shortly after that, with her brothers' band playing clubs, colleges and festivals throughout the NY area, Joanna started
playing in bands too and started Loud Fast News, a music fanzine reporting on the local punk and rock scene and interviewing
international acts like Bauhaus and the Dead Kennedys.
Joanna became a downtown fashionista, as a writer and editor for the East Village Eye (a seminal NY periodical) and being
photographed for the NY Times by famous photographer Bill Cunningham. Joanna also started working as a model and actor and
was featured in various promotions for MTV, Think Big Catalogue, etc.
She started working for Manhattan Design, a very influential, award winning Graphic Design studio as a Marketing and Public
Relations Rep. Manhattan Design was the studio who designed the MTV logo and worked on a multitude of album and tour packaging,
from Sting, the B-52s, Duran Duran, 10,000 Maniacs, Scorpions, Billy Idol as well as the Talking Heads as well as many other
industries and artists.
Mon Star Productions was the brainchild of Joanna and her best friend Patrice Mack. As clothing designers they saw their
designs worn on many of rocks luminaries including members of Metallica, Flotsam and Jetsam and were thrilled to see one of
their designs on the cover of Spin Magazine worn by Faith No More.
Joanna was also at this time the Associate Editor of Seconds Magazine. Seconds was a cutting edge monthly publication
that featured interviews with national and international acts. Whether they were Rock, Rap, Metal, Shock or Experimental Seconds
would feature them and gave the Beastie Boys their first cover story.
Joanna is also an award winning Jewelry Designer/Goldsmith and has designed jewelry for many celebrities including Julia
Roberts, Andie MacDowell, Annabella Sciora, Rita Wilson, etc. and her work has been seen in several major motion pictures.
Working at the Revere Academy of Jewelry Arts in San Francisco, Joanna became the Marketing Director and was integral to creating
the first nationally sanctioned classes for Mitsubishis Precious Metal Clay and the Platinum Guilds Platinum Casting Course.
She was also responsible for the Revere Academys participation in the Jewelers of Americas Certified Jeweler Testing Process.
Joanna created sponsor and donor relationships with many of the jewelry industries most prestigious manufacturers and governing
bodies.
While in San Francisco Joanna garnered more design awards and her work was shown in the San Jose Museum of Art.
Joanna continues to use her business experience in Sales, Marketing, Communications and Media along with her aesthetic
acumen in all her endeavors. She is a recurring Guest Host on ShopNBC in the USA and on HSE (Home Shopping Europe) in Germany,
Austria and Switzerland. Whether its for a large corporation or an emerging artist Joanna will guide and propel her clients

| CHUCK SCHIELE |
Chuck has been a part of the San Diego music staple for nearly 20 years. As a professional artist/musician, he's played in
bands such as Modern Peasants, The Gandhi Method (San Diego Music Awards nominee), Mysterious Ways, The And, and currently,
The Grams (San Diego Music Awards nominee) and also as a solo artist. His experience on those bands has collected airplay,
small tours, 6 albums of his own, has appeared on dozens by others as well as compilations (including San Diego Music Awards,
KYXY, KPRI, and more...) and is still going stronger than ever after 20 years of steady gigging. Chucks music career has had
him sharing billing with Lawrence Juber, Mick Fleetwood, Dave Mason, dada, Iron Butterfly, The Hoodoo Gurus, The Little River
Band, Taj Majal, and countless more.
In 2005 Chuck toured the country playing clubs along the way and even recording 2 songs (to be included on a forthcoming
solo project) at the world famous Sun Studios in Memphis with producer, engineer & artist James Lott. (This is where he
became inspired with the Cash Only! Idea)
This month Chuck's band The Grams is the feature cover in the San Diego Troubadour, along with a CD review of his latest
project. Incidentally the Grams appear March 15, 2006 at the Belly Up, for their CD Release Concert Event.
Chuck also has his hands in promotions and marketing with projects & clients - past and present - ranging from local
musicians looking to package their CD';s to Sony, Corona, Pacifico, Honda/Acura, various candidates running for office (all
of whom won), The San Diego Padres, the San Diego Chargers to name just a few.
Chuck started booking shows in 1987 and has been booking ever since then, from clubs and coffeehouses to San Diego Earth
Day (5 years). In 2002 he decided to get serious enough to begin creating his own events. He single-handedly change the way
Ocean Beach (and the beach area in general) listen's to live local music. By now he's collaborating with (along with his newlywed
wife, Joanna) with dozens of influential scene makers in and out of town.
With the mission of fostering a better, healthier music and arts scene, Chuck is noted for connecting art and music to
its own possibilities, an earnest encourager with a plan, a dedicated Saint to the music here in San Diego. His plans are
as big as his aspirations and 2006 will bring even bigger and better music.
