More Haiku

Nervously–
he taps her shoulder,
2 months from prom.

Neglected–
rag doll
but kept forever.

Nails of the maple tree,
bleeding of its sap,
sacrifice of its existence.

He reads her final letter,
punches the light-pole
and walks on.

Emergency lights flashing,
cars honking
as you push your lifeless vehicle.

Sunset ocean reflects in her eyes,
standing at the cliff
contemplating.

In the corner of the garage,
cemetery of fly corpses,
hanging in lasso webbing.

Passenger in E.L.A., there
on cracked dashboard, miniature
Virgin de Guadalupe.

She slips off her silk robe,
her smooth flesh exposed,
the students begin to draw.

Boy shuts door
from vacuum sounds,
of over-worked mother.

Mud & Music everywhere,
her shirt says “FREE HUGS”
so i cash in.

Closing his eyes,
to her warm embrace.
Opening his eyes, to her anniversary grave.

He holds her hand on the swing,
He holds her hand on the porch seat,
He holds her hand on the rocking chair.

Grasshopper hourly midnight love call,
is finally answered…
by the heal of my shoe.

Sidewalk–-br> hopscotch chalk?
a corpses outline.

Her lipstick-stained cigarette
still remains,
in the ashtray.

In love with
sadness,
again her tears rain.

In velvet dress & high heels…
she sits alone…
with her children.
