EXPERIENCE AND SUCCESS
YEARS in trial make all the difference in the quality of your defense. Recently there has been a lot of publicity
involving the Scott Peterson case. Daniel Horowitz has extensive trial experience in front of both of the judges
assigned to that trial.
In People v. Eric Ashley, a death penalty case, Horowitz obtained a dismissal. The Judge was the first Peterson
trial judge, the Honorable Richard Arnason.
Attorneys have speculated that this death penalty dismissal was the reason that he prosecution challenged Judge Arnason.
The current Peterson case judge is the Honorable Alfred Delucchi. Daniel Horowitz has three death penalty
trials before Judge Delucchi.
If your federal case involves overseas witnesses, Daniel Horowitz spent three months in 2003, taking Rule 15 depositions
in Ukraine, Turkey, Cyprus, Israel, Canada and Hong Kong. (Rule 15 depositions are used to obtain testimony of overseas
witnesses for use in a federal criminal trial.)
Daniel Horowitz is also an instructor in federal case document management. Remember that wire fraud and money laundering
cases (and other federal cases) require that your attorney manage massive amounts of paper.
