Cat's Meow is a village of two-dimensional wooden miniature
handcrafted buildings and accessories. Created by Faline Fry Jones
in Fall 1982, they feature over 20,000 designs including fantasy and
historic landmarks. Many of their designs, including the North Pole
sets can be seen on their website at www.catsmeow.com. |
North Pole Collection I consists of:Reindeer Barn, Mrs. Claus Bakery, Packing
the Sleigh, Santa & Mrs. Claus, and North Pole Sign. This came
as a boxed set, and none of the pieces were sold individually. This set is now
retired.
| North Pole Collection II consists of Elf Lodge (also
available individually), Workshop A (also available individually) and
Lighting the Way (available only as part of the boxed set. This is a
limited edition of 6000 sets. Here's a photo of the set: |
 |
North Pole Collection III consists of Danay's Doll House and St. Nicholas
Church. These are available individually only.
I've found two websites that seem to carry this line:
www.buchananplace.com I haven't done business with
this site yet, so I can't recommend them -- I can
only point you to them.
www.littlehouses.net I have
purchased several items from these folks and can highly recommend them. My
purchases arrived the same week I placed my order.

In this photo, left to right, are the Reindeer Barn, Packing the Sleigh,
Danay's Doll House, North Pole Sign, Mrs. Claus Bakery, Santa & Mrs. Claus,
and St. Nicholas Church. Danay's Doll House is 4.5" from the base to
the peak of the roof. |
Photos can't do justice to the charm of these
pieces. Each is highlighted with iridescent glitter and each features the
black cat silhouette which is the trademark of The Cat's Meow.
