Bertie, Brunswick,
Buncomb, Burke,
Bute, Cabarrus,
Caldwell, Camden,
Catteret, Caswell,
Catawba, Chatham,
Cherokee, Chowen,
Clay, Cleveland,
Craven, Cumberland,
Granville, Moore,
New Hanover, Rowen,
Rutherford, Surry and
Wake Counties.
These bonds were posted because of the impending birth
of a bastard child. It covers from the beginning of
the county through 1878. Approximately 19,000 names.
The book originally sold for $30.00 is now sold

Beaufort County Court. It contains wills, estate
records, guardianships, dowers, divisions of land,
purchases at estate sales and other important
genealogy records. The wills are transcribed and other
records are abstracted. Much of the information is not
found in any other source in the county or at the
North Carolina State Archives. Guardingships, dowers
and divisions of land are abstracted. The books
originally sold for $25.00 & $20.00. The
remaining books were donated to the Beaufort County
