Who knew what opportunities and encounters God had in store for the 2004 team in the Amazon River city of Santarem and area?  The opportunities were great as we worked with Paul and Jan Scott, missionaries in Santarem.

Christ said, "Go and make disciples of all nations.... And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age." (Matthew 28:19-20, HCSB)

In October and November, 2004 God opened the door for new mission activity for BBC... the Amazon River.  Santarem, located on the Amazon River was our home base as we preached and taught throughout the city.  We also traveled up the Amazon, Tapajos and Arapiuns Rivers responding to ministry opportunities.

We preached to the masses, and witnessed God speak to each person one-by-one.  There is where the miracle happens.  Many are lost... waiting for someone to find them, and show them the way home.  From the streets and  homes in the city to the remote areas up-river, God's work was evident.

Those who went and ministered to the people of Santarem and the Amazon area would like to express their appreciation to those who helped "send" them.  "Some are to go... and some are to send."  God made this ministry possible through the entire team of "goers, senders, and prayers."  We are eternally greatful.

"Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, 'Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?'  And I said, 'Here am I. Send me!'  He said, 'Go and tell this people.'" (Isaiah 6:8-9, NIV)
