| The Northeast Commodores Conference (NECC) is a group of representatives from Radio-Controlled Model Ship/Boat Clubs located in the northeastern United States. The purpose of the NECC is to provide a forum for various clubs to discuss club operations and issues, administration, and the promotion of the model ship/boat building hobby. Representatives of the various clubs meet three times during the year in March, July, and November. During the November meeting, the clubs plan out an event calendar for the following year, listing each club's events, preventing scheduling conflicts, and maximizing the availability and participation of club members. During the July meeting, clubs come together at South Orange, New Jersey to participate in the NECC Fun Float. |
On a rotational basis, the participating clubs take hosting duties for the NECC. These duties include, hosting the meetings, NECC administration and treasury, and hosting the annual NECC Fun Float in July. For 2003, the Empire State Model Mariners is the host club.
The NECC is currently comprised of six clubs. These clubs are:
Empire State Model Mariners
Garden State Model Mariners
South Orange Seaport Society
Task Force 50
Task Force 100
Valley Forge Model Ship Society
