February 28, from 8:00am - 1:00pm. Troop hike is from Cobb Estates to Echo Mt. which is above Altadena.  The hike is 5 miles roundtrip.

March 7-8 Hoegee's Trail Camp Backpack form Chantry Flats 1.5 mikes one way hike in. 1 night.
            Leave 7:30 am March 7  Chantry Flats, Return 3:00 pm March 8  Chantry Flats. RSVP needed.
            Patrols will need to purchase and bring their own food.  Troop did day hike 1 Miles
         Cooking gear, tents, cooking stoves, etc... will be provided by the troop.

March 28, 2009   SMCC Rummage clean up, Service Project 12:00pm to 2:00pm. Most Scouts 2 hours
    Opportunity for service hours on Saturday,  We clean up after the church's Rummage Sale.  This is an official troop event.  The clean up usually takes about two hours.  Please meet at Pritchard Hall to help.  The church lets the Troop use the buildings every week, and this is our way to say "thank you very much."

Saturday June 20 – 10:00 am to about 1:00 pm - Collect donations Please bring a cell phone if you have one available to use.  Dress:  Class A. Where:  Gwinn Park (SW corner), 3000 East Orange Grove Blvd, Pasadena,  91107.   Between Sierra Madre and Madre on south side of street. Pizza lunch will be served at noon on both days.  Parents are welcome to be a scout ‘buddy’ while distributing and collecting.
Suggest you bring a hat while walking/hiking in neighborhood.

And Water!  Temp is expected to be in the upper 80's!, When: Why:Learn how to Orient a map, Learn how to use a compass during a 5 mile hike, Fulfill 2nd Class Rank Requirements.

            Includes: Tents, Horses riding, Heated Swimming Pool, ranges and all meals.
                    Sun to Sat Boy Scout Resident Camp.  6 nights, 7 miles Hiked, 1 hour Service project trail work.
 

July 25 to Aug. 1 Backpack Trip, The Troop will have a week long backpacking trip to the Eastern Sierra Mountains.  Troop 373 is leading this week long summer camp. Deposit to attend.
    The trip will be out of Onion Valley to Mt Whitney Portal, on the John Muir / Pacific Crest Trail (PCT),
    To be eligible for this trip:
          1. You must have been in the troop one year, AND
          2. You must have attended a summer base camp or backpacking trip with the troop OR you must have attended
          at least one weekend backpack with the troop or your patrol.   The Hoegees trip coming up this month would be
          fine.
    The Forest Service has limited group size to 15, 3 adults and 12 scouts.  Spots will be assigned on a first come first
    saved basis.  Don't miss out on this great experience.  We expect the total cost to be between $200 and $300.  To
    secure your spot, get a check for $100 to Troop Treasurer, The check should be made out to Troop 373.
