Hi,

I was informed that not everyone could hear the speakers very well at the year End Pack Meeting. I will try to get a PA system in place next year.

Here are my highlights:  (other than outing flyers)

1) We had a great Scout Year, Our Pack had a 100% Rank advancement. Each Scout achieved his rank. Along with living the Scout Promise and Law, Rank advancement is one of the main goals of Cub Scouting. Other Pack activities like: outings, service projects and camps are provided to enhance your Scouting experience.

2) Our Scouts provided over 65 hours of community service by: planting trees, cleaning up a river bank, cleaning up after SMCC's rummage sale and helping out in our Scout Expo Booth. This doesn't count the time spent supporting the Pack with Popcorn sales.

3) Each new rank Scout should have their new Rank Book. Your Den leader should soon be providing a list of rank requirements that he is committed to work on in the Den meetings starting in September. Other rank requirements in your book may be worked on at home during the Summer and during the Scout year.  We know that a Scout may not be able to attend every Den meeting. If your Scout misses a Den Meeting during the Fall and Winter months (9-10 to 2-22), you should contact your den leader to see what was missed and compete it at home.
Electives in the Wolf and Bear Book may be completed anytime during the year.

If you are available, I look forward to seeing you at some of our Summer outings, if not see you September 10 for the start of our Scout Year!

Thank You again for helping your Scout achieve Rank.

PS:  Invite any boys going into 1st grade this fall to our Membership Information Night Sept. 10 at 7:00pm at SMCC
