Our Annual Popcorn fundraiser is kicking off at the first Troop meeting.

This is the main fundraiser for our Council and our Troop which receives 30% of sales.
Please ensure you pick up an Order Form and encourage your scouts to participate in this important event for our Troop.
Parents and families are also invited to participate on their behalf.

Selling Popcorn in Troop 373 is optional, there are some benefits to selling popcorn:
1) Teaching salesmanship skills to our scouts (like: politeness, courage, the ability to politely accept no for an answer and the joy of making a sale) .
2) Helps keep Toop 373 membership dues low.
4) Promotes Scouting in the community (uniform)
5) Can support US military service men and women.
6) Scouts enjoy earning Popcorn sale prizes.

     Deadline:       Oct.  16, 2018 –  Tuesday, All orders must be be turned in

     November 10, 2018 Sat. – Popcorn will be available for pick up at SMCC 1pm to 2:30pm.

Consumers can support our troops and support Scouting when they participate in the CAMP MASTERS Military Program (Z order).  Every military purchase will send delicious popcorn treats to our troops. CAMP MASTERS Popcorn will be shipped to U.S. military personnel serving our country at various military facilities throughout the U.S. and around the world, including products shipped to “Operation USO Care Package”  (www.uso.org/oucp) and Military-Missions.org.

POPCORN KICK OFF
It s that time of year again to start selling popcorn. This is a great way for each Pack or Troop to raise money for
themselves. Some of the other reasons to sell popcorn, are, an increase of community awareness of Scouting, Scouts
learn selling skills, it is a confidence builder, and an opportunity for scouts to earn many prizes.

Our Council is asking that all San Gabriel Valley Council Scouts sell at least ONE item and have
     advised the following Prizes and Incentives:

     Why a Popcorn Sale?

            A major source of income for both our Troop and the Council – great commissions for the Troop

            Opportunity for Scouts to earn gift certificates

           Increases community awareness of Scouting

          Scouts learn selling skills and responsibility by earning money for their unit programs

          Builds self-confidence

          Quality product - exclusive gourmet Campmasters popcorn products, including decorative tins perfect for gift giving

     Prizes and Incentives:

                Scouts who sell at least one unit of popcorn will receive a patch.

     Where to Sell?

                Workplace, church, neighborhood, store location

                Door to door (only with at least two Scouts and/or adult in attendance)

     Selling Information:

                Wear scout uniform and never enter people’s homes

                Always go with another scout and/or adult

                Collect money at time of order.  Make checks payable to “Troop 373”.

                Say ‘”Thank You for the order – see you next year”
 

     We appreciate everyone’s participation – the popcorn is great and there are products for
     everyone.
