Hi,
I have have a number of questions about the optional Patch program.
Only a few returned my questionnaire about Patches and the Picnic.
Based on those few replies, I set the BBQ Picnic for Dec 27
at 11:30 a.m.to 2:00pm.
The details are in the flyers given out at the last Pack meeting.
If you come please bring your Wolf book also.

Also from the replies, I will start the optional patch program.
If you do not want to buy patches from me, let me know.
Patches will not be given (sold) for every activities. ( i.e.. The
Picnic Dec 27 will not have one).
I will keep it to special events. Some of the BSA camps give
out patches at the end of the camp.
I hope to give you the year 2000 BSA Camp dates soon.
As you know, Scout Expo helpers receive free Patches. Next Expo
is June 3, 2000.
Displaying your Patches. You may get a Patch Jacket or
a Patch Vest. I don't feel there must be uniformity in the
display of patches. These patches may not go on your scout uniform. (Scout
uniforms require uniformity, only approved emblems and patches maybe display
on the Cub Scout uniforms.)
With that said, I am aware that your scout may not want to be the
only one with, say a vest. So I would like feedback about which you
prefer! However your son may wear either the jacket or the vest.
You buy the vest or jacket yourself:
The official Red Scout Vest comes with display instructions, buy it at the scout shop.
Scout jackets should be red or blue, the only thing displayed on the front is a BSA logo. See Tim or my jacket for logo. The logo is bought at the scout shop. Patches are displayed on the back. Red Jackets are sold at the scout shop and come with the BSA Logo patch. Sear sells (or did sell) a nice blue jacket that looks like the red scout jacket.
Patches: I will buy the patches and ask you to reimburse
me for the actual cost.
Some patches will be given out at the end of the activity, others
will be given later.
(patches are not official merit awards).
While at the scout shop, if your scout was a Tiger last year, feel free to get a Tiger Patch for your jacket or vest also. They have a few Tiger Patches to pick from.

Optional, Cub Scout Academics and Sports Program.
Belt Loops and Pins
You now have all the Belt Loop requirements.
Please keep these sheets they should be good thru all the Cub
Scouts Ranks
for the next 3 1/2 years!
After completing a Belt Loop requirement, cut out the completed form and return to me.
The only Pin requirements I gave out were for Soccer and Softball.
If your scout has a very strong interest in any of the belt loop areas,
I can give you the pin requirements for that activity.
